Vladislav Druzchenko (Cyrillic: Владислав Дружченко) is a male badminton player from Ukraine. He competed at the 1996, 2000, and 2008 Olympic Games. Career Between 1992 and 2006 he won 15 Ukrainian National Badminton Championships in a row in men's singles. Druzchenko played the 2007 BWF World Championships in men's singles, and was defeated in the first round by Andrew Dabeka, of Canada, 16-21, 21-18, 21-16. Dnipropetrovsk
Dnipro, previously called Dnipropetrovsk from 1926 until May 2016, is Ukraine's fourth-largest city, with about one million inhabitants. Johanna Sofia Elisabeth Persson (born 25 December 1978) is a former Swedish badminton player. Persson started her junior career in Täby Badmintonförening (now Göteborgs BK), and won her first national junior title in 1993 in the U-14 girls' singles, doubles, and mixed doubles event. She won the Swedish National senior title 11 times from 2002 to 2012, 6 in the women's doubles, and 5 in the mixed doubles. Richard Vaughan (badminton)
Richard Vaughan (born 16 April 1978) is a Welsh and British badminton player from Llanbradach, Caerphilly, Wales. Vaughan was the Chief Executive of Badminton Ireland between 2011 - 2015. In 2014 Vaughan joined the board of Badminton Europe (a member of the Badminton World Federation). He chairs the high-performance commission, which has overseen the development of a World Training Centre in Denmark. Between 2015-2020 Vaughan was the CEO of Squash Australia, where he oversaw the sport rebranding, topping the medal table at the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games. A new National Training Centre was opened on the Gold Coast in late 2018. In 2019, Vaughan established the 'Friends of Squash' Parliament competition with the current Sports Minister Anika Wells and Prime Minister Anthony Albanese. The German Open is an annual badminton tournament held in Germany since 1955 (as West Germany) and organized by German Badminton Association or Deutscher Badminton Verband (DBV). The tournaments were not held in the year 1970, 1979 and 1998. Known as German Badminton Championships until 1980, the tournament was later allowed to be known as Open Championships from 1981 on. The tournament is currently sponsored by Yonex.
