Vladimir Štimac
Vladimir Štimac ( sr, Владимир Штимац, born August 25, 1987) is a Serbian professional basketball player who most recently played for the Ningbo Rockets of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA). He also represented the Serbian national team internationally. Standing at , he plays at the center position. Professional career Štimac grew up with Beovuk 72 youth team, and later spent two years in Lithuania and one in Latvia before returning to Serbia. During his first season abroad, he played for the Lithuanian Žalgiris reserves team and earned his way into the first team for the following season. In order to get a chance to play as a first-team regular, he was allowed to spend his third SEB BBL year with Latvian side Valmiera, where he was unanimously chosen as the best player for the 2007–08 season. ABA League
The ABA League, renamed to the ABA League First Division in 2017, is the 1st-tier regional men's professional basketball league that originally featured clubs from the former Yugoslavia (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia and Slovenia). Due to sponsorship reasons, the league was also known as the Goodyear League from 2001 to 2006, the NLB League from 2006 to 2011, and as the AdmiralBet ABA League from 2021. 2016–17 Basketball Champions League
The 2016–17 Basketball Champions League was the inaugural season of the Basketball Champions League (BCL), a European professional basketball competition for clubs that was launched by FIBA. The competition began on 27 September 2016, with the qualifying rounds, and concluded on 30 April 2017, at the Final Four. A number of 52 teams from 31 countries participated in the competition, including its qualifying rounds.
