Vladimir Screciu
Vladimir Ionuț Screciu (; born 13 January 2000) is a Romanian professional footballer who plays mainly as a midfielder for Liga I club CS Universitatea Craiova. Club career Early career / Universitatea Craiova Born in Corabia, Olt County, Screciu began his career with local CSȘ Corabia in 2010. The following year he joined the youth setup of FC Universitatea Craiova, and in 2013 moved to CS Universitatea Craiova. On 2 October 2016, 16-year-old Screciu was handed his Liga I debut by head coach Gheorghe Mulțescu, entering in the 82nd minute of a 1–2 away loss to FC Steaua București. In April 2017, Portuguese newspaper ''O Jogo'' reported that Benfica showed interest in signing the player. He was an unused substitute in the 2018 Cupa României Final on 27 May, as the ''Alb-albaștrii'' won 2–0 over Hermannstadt. U Craiova 1948 Club Sportiv, commonly known as Universitatea Craiova (), CS U Craiova, or simply U Craiova, is a Romanian professional football team based in Craiova, Dolj County, which competes in the Liga I, the top tier of the Romanian league system. Initially founded in 1948 as the football section of the ''CSU Craiova'' sports club, it was part of it until 1991, when its berth in the league championship was taken by FC U Craiova following privatisation. The 2021–22 Liga I (also known as Casa Liga 1 for sponsorship reasons) is the 104th season of the Liga I, the top professional league for Romanian association football clubs. The season started on 15 July 2021 and is scheduled to end in May 2022. It is the sixth to take place since the play-off/play-out rule has been introduced, and the second since the 2005–06 season to feature 16 teams. CFR Cluj are the four-time defending champions. The play-off/play-out rule is the same as in the previous season, the first six teams at the regular season will qualify for the play-off tournament and the last 10 for the play-out. The 2017–18 Liga I (also known as Liga 1 Betano for sponsorship reasons) was the 100th season of the Liga I, the top professional league for Romanian association football clubs. The season began on 14 July 2017 and ended on 2 June 2018, being the third to take place since the play-off/play-out format has been introduced. Defending champions Viitorul Constanța came fourth. CFR Cluj became the new champions in the last fixture of the play-off, clinching their fourth league title after finishing one point above FCSB. Juventus București and Sepsi OSK entered as the promoted teams from the 2016–17 Liga II, but only the latter managed to avoid relegation. Since Romania dropped from 15th to 17th in the UEFA association coefficient rankings, only the title winner qualified for the UEFA Champions League. 2018 Cupa României Final
The 2018 Cupa României Final was the final match of the 2017–18 Cupa României and the 80th final of the Cupa României, Romania's premier football cup competition. It was played on 27 May 2018 between Hermannstadt and Universitatea Craiova. Hermannstadt reached their first ever cup final in the third year of the club's existence. They are the 14th team, and the first in 36 years, to reach the final while not playing in the top league. This was the first final for Universitatea since 1991, and the first for a team from Craiova in 18 years. The winner qualified for the 2018–19 UEFA Europa League. They also earned the right to play against 2017–18 Liga I champions for the 2018 Supercupa României. The game was hosted by the Arena Națională stadium in Bucharest.
