Vlaamse Televisiester
The Vlaamse Televisie Sterren ( Dutch for "Flemish Television Stars") are Flemish television awards, in fifteen categories. Winners are announced during an annual television show called Night of the Flemish Television Stars ( Dutch: Nacht van de Vlaamse Televisie Sterren), which is an Oscar-style gala organised by the Flemish Television Academy (Vlaamse Televisie Academie). Each year categories are evaluated and adapted to the ever-changing trends of television if needed. Every ceremony is aired on television. The rights to the ceremony are shared by the two leading television stations in Flanders: public television station Eén and commercial station vtm. The show is co-hosted, but broadcast by only one of the two aforementioned channels in turn. The most recent ceremony was held on the second of March 2013 and aired by vtm. Sandrine André
Sandrine André (born 22 February 1973 in Antwerp, Belgium) is a Flemish actress. The daughter of Dutch actor Bert André and Flemish actress Mieke Verheyden, she is married to the actor Hans Ligtvoet. She became famous for her role in the Vtm-series Wittekerke where she played Merel and her role as Inge in the movies and series of ''Team Spirit''. In 2007 she became popular for her role as Britt in ''Sara'' for which she was nominated in 2007 for a Vlaamse Televisiester as Best Actress for that role. Sara (Belgian TV Series)
''Sara'' is a Flemish telenovela, based upon the Colombian telenovela ''Betty La Fea''. It tells the story of ''Sara De Roose'', a business economics graduate, who passed with honours at the university but has trouble finding a job—until she comes across an assistant job in a Belgian fashion company, called "Présence". The company is looking for a new general manager, and Sara's arrival coincides with the two CEOs arguing who this has to be. The series was broadcast by the commercial station VTM, upon which it was shown every weekday at 6:25 pm. On Sundays, VTM broadcast all episodes of the past week, called 'De Week van Sara' ("Sara's week"). ''Sara'' premiered on 25 September 2007 and ended in June 2008, after 200 episodes. A new telenovela called ''LouisLouise'' (about a guy named Louis, who turns into a woman (Louise) by a spell) replaced Sara as of September 2008.
