Vittorio Sindoni
Vittorio Sindoni (born 21 April 1939) is an Italian director and screenwriter. Life and career Born in Capo d'Orlando, Sicily, Sindoni started his career on stage directing the theater group "Il Collettivo" ("The Collective") in Rome, and worked for some years as author of several RAI cultural programs. In the late 1960s he entered the film industry as director and screenwriter, directing numerous comedies. He is known to Italian giallo fans for his 1968 film '' Deadly Inheritance''. For his film ''Gli anni struggenti'' he won the Mario Gromo Plate at the 1979 Grolle d'oro Awards. Since the 1980s he devoted himself to television. Capo d'Orlando ( scn, Capu d'Orlannu) is a in the Metropolitan City of Messina, Sicily, southern Italy, one of the main centers of the mountain and coastal Nebrodi area. History After the destruction of the Greek colony of Agathyrnum by the Roman Republican Army, the only settlement was a tiny fisherman's village. In 1925 Capo d'Orlando was elevated to the status of Comune (council), as before it was included in the territory of Naso. A railway station was made during the Fascist era in the early 20th century. During this century the population and tourist development quickly grew. Economy Tourism is one of the main resources of the local economy. Deadly Inheritance
''Deadly Inheritance'' ( it, Omicidio per vocazione), is a 1969 Italian ''giallo'' film directed by Vittorio Sindoni. Plot An old man named Oscar is "accidentally" run over by a train in France. According to his will, his heirs must wait until the youngest among them (a simpleton named Janot) reaches the age of 21 before the estate can be settled. Janot unfortunately soon after turns up dismembered by a train as well, in another "accident". Then Rosalie and her husband meet untimely deaths, which calls the affair to the attention of a police inspector. A young family member named Collette is next on the killer's list. Cast Production Director Vittorio Sindoni stated that the film was initially set to film in France, but ended on location in Anguillara Sabazia, just outside of Rome. The director stated they had tried to pass off the location as Aix-les-Bains.
