Vittorio Iannuzzo
Vittorio Iannuzzo (born 10 May 1982 in Avellino) is an Italian motorcycle racer. He currently competes in the IDM Superbike Championship aboard a Suzuki GSX-R1000. He was the 2002 European Superstock 1000 champion riding an Alstare Suzuki. In his Superbike World Championship participations, he had a front-row start at Misano World Circuit in 2003. In 2010 he had a huge crash at Circuit Ricardo Tormo when he tangled with Simon Andrews. In the same year he rode a factory Triumph Daytona 675 in the Supersport World Championship, having replaced Jason DiSalvo Jason DiSalvo is an American former professional Grand Prix motorcycle racer. Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit
The Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit is a motor racing circuit located near Ventnor, on Phillip Island, Victoria, Australia. The current circuit was first used in 1956. History Road circuit Motor racing on Phillip Island began in 1928 with the running of the 100 Miles Road Race, an event which has since become known as the first Australian Grand Prix. It utilised a high speed rectangle of local closed-off public roads with four similar right hand corners. Hockenheimring
The Hockenheimring Baden-Württemberg () is a motor racing circuit situated in the Rhine valley near the town of Hockenheim in Baden-Württemberg, Germany, located on the Bertha Benz Memorial Route. Amongst other motor racing events, it has hosted the German Grand Prix, most recently in 2019. The circuit has very little differences in elevation. The circuit has an FIA Grade 1 license. History 1932–1938 Originally called "Dreieckskurs" (triangle course), the Hockenheimring was built in 1932. The man behind it is Ernst Christ, a young timekeeper who felt that a racing track should be built in his hometown of Hockenheim. 1999 Nürburgring Superbike World Championship Round
The 1999 Nürburgring Superbike World Championship round was the 6th round of the 1999 Superbike World Championship season. It took place on the weekend of 11–13 June 1999 at the Nürburgring. It was strongly criticised by the riders after track officials failed to show race flags. Carl Fogarty and Troy Corser won Race 1 and Race 2 respectively. Controversy During Race 1, Igor Jerman's Kawasaki dumped oil at the Castrol Curve, causing multiple other riders to crash, including Noriyuki Haga, Akira Yanagawa, Pierfrancesco Chili and Colin Edwards, due to marshals failing to show Oil Flags. The marshals also failed to show Blue Flags and as a result Fogarty collided with back-marker Lothar Kraus, knocking Kraus off his bike and out of the race. The 1999 Kyalami Superbike World Championship round was the opening round of the 1999 Superbike World Championship season and the 1999 Supersport World Championship season. It took place on the weekend of 26–28 March 1999 at the 4.26 km Kyalami Circuit in South Africa. The round was marred by the death of Brett MacLeod after a crash in the Supersport race. 1999 Supersport World Championship
The 1999 Supersport World Championship was the first season of the Supersport World Championship, the third taking into account the previous two seasons, when the competition was known as ''Supersport World Series''. For the first year, the series was recognised by the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme, FIM as a World Championship instead of as an ''FIM Prize''. The season began on 28 March at Kyalami and finished on 12 September at Hockenheimring after 11 rounds. South African rider Brett MacLeod had a fatal accident at the Kyalami race. The TT Circuit Assen is a motorsport race track built in 1955 and located in Assen, Netherlands. Host of the Dutch TT, it is popularly referred to as "The Cathedral" of motorcycling by the fans of the sport. Brands Hatch is a motor racing circuit in West Kingsdown, Kent, England, United Kingdom. Originally used as a grasstrack motorcycle circuit on farmland, it hosted 12 runnings of the British Grand Prix between 1964 and 1986 and currently hosts many British and International racing events.
