SemiÄ (; german: Semitsch,''Leksikon obÄin kraljestev in dežel zastopanih v državnem zboru,'' vol. 6: ''Kranjsko''. 1906. Vienna: C. Kr. Geography The settlement is located in the traditional region of White Carniola (''Bela krajina'', part of Lower Carniola) and the Southeast Slovenia Statistical Region. It lies between the KoÄevje Rog Plateau and the Gorjanci range of the Žumberak Mountains to the northeast. The slopes of the Gorjanci Hills are used for wine growing. SemiÄ is the site of an Iskra Kondenzatorji capacitor production plant, the largest employer in the region. In the 1980s the improper handling of PCB waste material led to serious pollution of nearby Krupa Creek and caused a major environmental scandal. The 2008–09 Slovenian PrvaLiga was the 18th season of top-tier football league in Slovenia. The competition was officially called ''PrvaLiga Telekom Slovenije'' for sponsorship reasons. Maltese FA Trophy
The FA Trophy, currently known as the IZIBET FA Trophy for sponsorship reasons, is an annual football cup competition that takes place in Malta. The cup was founded in 1933; following a match between England and Italy, played in Rome in May 1933, to where a number of pro-British Maltese supporters travelled to support the English side. The Football Association as recognition donated a silver trophy to be played on the model of the FA Cup.
