Visionbooks
Visionbooks is an animation comics company. Visionbooks Visionborne, through its department Visionbooks, originated the medium of animated comics, which are comic books read on a digital device that include motion graphics within the frames, delivered via a mobile application. Initial publishers to release comics through Visionbooks included Asylum Press, Arcana Studio, Real Interface Studios, Vanquish Interactive, and Cavalletto. Mike Splechta said of the motion that, “each panel in the comic will have some slight movement or motion ... adding a sort of kinetic feel to each scene. It's certainly not fully animated, that's what TV shows are for after all, but now you you'll get a better sense of the action, like when a hero fl esup into the air, or someone slices off the head of a zombie.” The app is a free download, with several titles released per month. Valiant Entertainment
Valiant Comics is an American comic book publisher. The company was founded in 1989 by former Marvel Comics editor-in-chief Jim Shooter along with lawyer and businessman Steven Massarsky. In 1994, the company was sold to Acclaim Entertainment. The company was restarted as part of Valiant Entertainment by entrepreneurs Dinesh Shamdasani and Jason Kothari in 2005 after Acclaim declared bankruptcy in 2004. Valiant Entertainment launched its publishing division in 2012 as part of an initiative dubbed the "Summer of Valiant", winning Publisher of the Year and being nominated for Book of the Year at the Diamond Gem Awards. Valiant has set sales records, and was the most nominated publisher in comics at the 2014, 2015 and 2016 Harvey Awards, releasing the biggest-selling independent crossover event of the decade with "Book of Death" in 2015. Arcana Studio
Arcana Studio is a Canadian animation studio in Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada. Founded as a comic book publisher by former Coquitlam, British Columbia school teacher Sean O'Reilly in 2004, in 2012 Arcana opened its animation division. Overview Arcana is Canada's largest publisher of comics and graphic novels, with over 300 titles in its library covering all genres and age groups. Arcana's titles have been translated into different languages, including French, Italian, Greek, Spanish and Polish. Arcana formed in 2004 when Sean O'Reilly first published and wrote the comic book series ''Kade'' starting with Kade #1. Sean wrote the issue, with artist Eduardo Garcia drawing and coloring the series. With Diamond Comics as the distributor, Arcana's first comic went on shelves December 31, 2003.
