Visible Noise
Visible Noise is a British independent record label that focuses solely on British bands. History Founded in 1998 by ex-Cacophonous Records manager Julie Weir, the label was created with the goal of fostering and breaking new UK rock music into the zeitgeist. According to Weir, at that time, "everybody gave American bands far too much attention". Visible Noise has been noted for bringing well known UK rock bands into the mainstream such as Bring Me the Horizon, Bullet for My Valentine, and the now defunct Lostprophets. Rock music is a broad genre of popular music that originated as " rock and roll" in the United States in the late 1940s and early 1950s, developing into a range of different styles in the mid-1960s and later, particularly in the United States and United Kingdom.W. Devil Sold His Soul
Devil Sold His Soul are an ambient influenced post-hardcore band from London, formed in 2004 and signed to Nuclear Blast. Three members of the band used to be in Mahumodo. They released their debut studio album '' A Fragile Hope'' on 18 June, 2007, after the release of their debut EP '' Darkness Prevails'', produced by Mark Williams. The band released their second studio album ''Blessed & Cursed'' (mixed by Steve Evetts) on 18 June, 2010. On 8 August, 2010, they played at the Hevy Music Festival held near Folkestone, Kent, before embarking on a UK tour with Architects. In January, 2011, the band announced that bassist Iain Trotter has left the band to pursue a career outside music. He was replaced by Jozef Norocky, former guitarist of Rinoa. The Stupids (band)
The Stupids are an English hardcore punk band formed in the 1980s by Tom Withers. Career Formed in Ipswich, England in the mid 1980s, The Stupids released four albums and six EPs, and recorded three sessions for John Peel's BBC Radio 1 show in the 1980s, and toured the United States (with Ludichrist) and Australia (the Hard-Ons) as well as Europe, the United Kingdom, and, most recently, Japan. The band have featured on various CD re-issues, compilation albums (e.g. ''Sounds'' and the U.S. skate magazine, ''Thrasher''), collector singles, and BBC session releases released by Strange Fruit. The Stupids were featured in the 22 August 1987 edition of the ''NME'' about the band and the UK skate scene, and also made the front page. Days Of Worth
Days of Worth were a five-piece English rock band. Formed in 2002, they quickly forged their own variation on the UK rock sound of the time, influenced by the likes of Hundred Reasons, Hell Is For Heroes and more obscure bands such as Handsome and the Boston-based outfit Cave In. They also name early 1990s bands such as Soundgarden as influences. In mid-2002 the band released their debut five-track EP, ''Extended Play'', through indie label Alpha9. Four of the five tracks, "Ladies and Gentlemen", "State of Me", "Take Me Through" and "Narcolepsy" would later be re-recorded for their first album, ''The Western Mechanism''. The fifth track, titled "Retainer", remains the only track to be exclusive to the EP. Although the band were quick to distance themselves from their first recording it gained them a sizable local following and attracted the attention of London-based label Visible Noise, who signed them in early 2003. Heavy Metal Music
Heavy metal (or simply metal) is a genre of rock music that developed in the late 1960s and early 1970s, largely in the United Kingdom and United States. With roots in blues rock, psychedelic rock and acid rock, heavy metal bands developed a thick, monumental sound characterized by distortion (music), distorted guitars, extended guitar solos, emphatic Beat (music), beats and loudness.
