Vishwamohini
''Viswa Mohini'' () is a 1940 Telugu-language romantic thriller film in the backdrop of Indian motion picture world, directed by Y. V. Rao. The ensemble cast starring V. Nagayya was written by Balijepalli Lakshmikanta Kavi, and was screened at the Venice Film Festival. The production design was handled by T. V. S. Sarma, and cinematography was handled by Pandurang Naik. It is the first Indian film to be made about the movie world. The film released in 1940, and turned out to be a mediocre success. Plot Mohan Rao, who works for a Law firm in Madras, cheats his Manager Padmanabham, and becomes the owner of the company through illegal means. Mohan Rao is the son of Padmanabham's business rival Purushothama Rao. He plans his son Mohan Rao's marriage with Hemalatha, the daughter of a wealthy widow Visalakshi who happens to be Puroshothama Rao's neighbour. But Mohan Rao is not interested in this alliance. Ogirala Ramachandra Rao
Ogirala Ramachandra Rao ( te, ఓగిరాల రామచంద్రరావు) (1905–1957) was an Indian actor, music director and multi instrumentalist, predominant in Telugu cinema. Early life and career Ogirala was born on 10 September 1905 at Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh to Ogirala Janardhana Sharma and Subbamma. He started his career as an actor in Sri Venkateswara Mahatyam (1939), where he played the role of Lord Shiva. His debut as Music director was ''Malli Pelli'' in the same year produced by Y. V. Rao. He was also playback singer for Y.V.Rao and sang with Kanchanamala in the film. He was also the music director for his next film ''Vishwamohini'' (1940). Gohar Khayyam Mamajiwala (19 November 1910 – 28 September 1985), also known as Miss Gohar, was an Indian singer, actress, producer and studio owner. Early life She was born into a Dawoodi Bohra family. Gohar's father's business almost collapsed and the family funds were seriously depleting when a family friend, Homi Master, working at the time as a director for Kohinoor Films, suggested that Gohar take up acting as a career. Her parents agreed. Career Gohar started her career at the age of sixteen with the film ''Baap Kamai/Fortune and the Fools'' (1926), directed by Kanjibhai Rathod. The role of the hero was portrayed by Khalil and the film was produced by "Kohinoor Films". The film was a hit. Balijepalli Lakshmikantha Kavi (23 December 1881 – 30 June 1953) was an Indian playwright, novelist, poet, screenwriter, actor and freedom fighter. He is remembered for the magnum opus ''Satya Harischandriyamu'', a play written in 1924, and for his works in Telugu cinema. Brief life He was born in Itikampadu village of Guntur district near Bapatla in 1881 to Narasimha Sastry and Adilakshmamma. After matriculation in Kurnool, he worked for some in the Sub-registrar office as Gumasta. He worked as teacher in Hindu College.
