State Route 249 (SR 249) is a primary state highway in the U.S. state of Virginia. Known as New Kent Highway, the state highway runs from Interstate 64 in Virginia, Interstate 64 (I-64) and Virginia State Route 33, SR 33 near Bottoms Bridge, Virginia, Bottoms Bridge east to SR 33 and Virginia State Route 30, SR 30 at Angelview Church, Virginia, Angelview Church. A concurrency in a road network is an instance of one physical roadway bearing two or more different route numbers. When two roadways share the same right-of-way, it is sometimes called a common section or commons. Other terminology for a concurrency includes overlap, coincidence, duplex (two concurrent routes), triplex (three concurrent routes), multiplex (any number of concurrent routes), dual routing or triple routing. New Kent High School
New Kent High School is a public high school located in New Kent, Virginia, east of Richmond. Athletic teams compete in the Virginia High School League's AA Bay Rivers District in Region I. The school relocated to a new facility for the 2008–2009 school year. Before that, it occupied the location of the current New Kent Middle School, and before that, that of the historic high school.
