Violette AC
Violette Athletic Club is a professional football club based in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. It is one of the most successful clubs in the country. In 1939, Violette A.C. captured the double after winning the league and the Coupe d'Haïti and won the 1984 CONCACAF Champions' Cup. The club was relegated to second division after the 2016 Ligue Haïtienne season. The club has produced many talented Haitian footballers, including Alexandre Boucicaut and Sébastien Vorbe. Stade Sylvio Cator
The Stade Sylvio Cator is a multi-purpose stadium in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. It is currently used mostly for association football matches, and is turfed with artificial turf. History The stadium bears the name of Haitian Olympic medalist and footballer Sylvio Cator. It was named after him in 1952. Before then the stadium was called the ''Parc Leconte''. and then the ''Stade Paul-Magloire''. It is where the Haiti national football team play its home games. It has hosted the 1973 CONCACAF Championship, where the home team were crowned as champions and the 1991 CONCACAF Women's Championship where the final match between the USA and Canada reached overcapacity of 30,000. SV Transvaal
Sport Vereniging Transvaal is a Surinamese association football club, which currently play in the Eerste Divisie, the top flight of football in Suriname. They play their home games in Paramaribo at André Kamperveen Stadion to a capacity of 7,100. The team is one of Suriname's most successful, having won their first league championship in 1925, and having won a total of 19, good for second most in Suriname after Robinhood. Transvaal have also won the Beker van Suriname (Surinamese Cup) three times and the Suriname President's Cup twice (1997 and 2008). Philippe Vorbe
Philippe Vorbe (born September 14, 1947) is a former Haitian footballer who played as a midfielder for the Haiti national football team in the 1974 FIFA World Cup in West Germany. A legendary player in Haiti, he provided Emmanuel Sanon the pass that resulted in the famous goal that put an end to Italian goalkeeper Dino Zoff's no-goal streak. Vorbe played for the New York Generals and Violette Athletic Club. He ascended from player to leader and is now the coach of Violette. Antoine Tassy
Antoine Tassy (26 March 1924 – 3 March 1991) was a Haitian football (soccer) player and manager. He was the manager of the Haiti national football team in the 1974 FIFA World Cup, their only World Cup appearance to date. In 1963, he was the manager of Jamaica. Earlier in 1963, he was the manager of Racing Club Haïtien, who were eventually declared winners of the 1963 CONCACAF Champions' Cup. As a player, he represented Haiti in 1954 World Cup qualification, at the 1957 CCCF Championship and at the 1959 Pan American Games. During Tassy's time as manager of Haiti, the national team was used as an instrument of propaganda by the Duvaliers. The 2009 CFU Club Championship was the 11th edition of the CFU Club Championship, the annual international club football competition in the Caribbean region, held amongst clubs whose football associations are affiliated with the Caribbean Football Union (CFU).
