''Vinyl'' is a 2012 British comedy film written and directed by Sara Sugarman. It is based on the true story of Mike Peters and The Alarm who in 2004 released the single " 45 RPM" under the name of a fictitious band " The Poppy Fields". The film features a number of past pop and rock stars in cameo roles, such as Steve Diggle (Buzzcocks), Jynine James, Mike Peters and Tim Sanders (The City Zones), along with the actors Phil Daniels, Keith Allen, Perry Benson, Jamie Blackley and Julia Ford. ''Vinyl'' is a 2000 documentary film by Toronto filmmaker/record collector Alan Zweig. In the film, Zweig seeks not to talk to people who collect vinyl records to discuss music, but rather to discuss what drives someone to collect records in the first place. Zweig spends a large portion of the film in stylized self-filmed "confessions", where he expounds on his life in regard to record collecting, feeling it has prevented him from fulfilling his dreams of a family. ''Vinyl '' is a 1965 American black-and-white film directed by Andy Warhol at The Factory. It is an early adaptation of Anthony Burgess' 1962 novel ''A Clockwork Orange'', starring Gerard Malanga, Edie Sedgwick, Ondine, and Tosh Carillo, and featuring such songs as " Nowhere to Run" by Martha and the Vandellas, "Tired of Waiting for You" by The Kinks, " The Last Time" by The Rolling Stones and " Shout" by The Isley Brothers. Kira Nicole Kosarin (born October 7, 1997) is an American actress and singer, known for her role as Phoebe Thunderman on the Nickelodeon series ''The Thundermans''. On April 10, 2019, she independently released her debut album, ''Off Brand'', later signing with Republic Records in 2022. Early life Kosarin did dance and gymnastics in her early years. She studied ballet at Boca Ballet Theatre and attended middle school at Pine Crest School. Vinyl Solution
Vinyl Solution was a record label of the late 1980s and early 1990s, the offshoot of an independent London-based record store based at 231 Portobello Road (now known as Intoxica Records). The label signed many unconventional acts in a number of uncompromising genres, such as skatepunk thrash band The Stupids, Britcore rappers Gunshot, and Bomb Disneyland. The label had its biggest success when one of the label's techno-dance groups, Bizarre Inc, made the UK Singles Chart with the song "Playing with Knives". Artists Jonathan Saul Kane Depth Charge's Jonathan Saul Kane was a key member in the organisation of the label, with a number of projects releasing discs on the label. In the mid 1990s he set up D.C. Recordings as a replacement for Vinyl Solution, with several other new offshoots catering for a number of subgenres in the dance music spectrum.
