Vinnytsia II (single-mandate Constituency)
Electoral district 12 ( uk, Одномандатний виборчий округ №12, ), shortened to OVO No.12 ( uk, ОВО №12) is one of 225 electoral districts that elects a member of parliament (People's Deputy of Ukraine, people's deputy) to the Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine's national parliament. Ukraine's electoral system is based on the mixed-member proportional representation system, which stipulates that half of a countries MPs are elected from proportional party lists, with the other half elected from first-past-the-post voting, first-past-the-post constituencies. A constituency's votes for a political bloc or party is tallied up with the rest of the 224 constituencies to determine the results of the proportional representation voting. Urban raions or urban districts ( uk, райони у містах України, translit=raiony u mistakh Ukrainy) are the second-level administrative division in certain cities in Ukraine. An urban district is subordinate to the city administration. Overview There are 111 districts in 19 cities of Ukraine. The cities that contain district division in a city usually are of national (such as Kyiv and Sevastopol) or regional significance.
