Vincenzo Esposito
Vincenzo Esposito (; born March 1, 1969) is an Italian former professional basketball player and coach, he lastly worked for Germani Basket Brescia of the Lega Basket Serie A (LBA), in Italy. During his playing career, he played at the shooting guard position. Esposito was the first player signed by the Toronto Raptors of the NBA, also making him the first Italian signed by an NBA team. The majority of his playing career took place in Italy, where he was named the league's most valuable player in 1999 and 2000. He also won the Italian Cup in 1988, and the Italian league championship with Juvecaserta, in 1991. The 2016–17 LBA season, was the 95th season of the Lega Basket Serie A (LBA), known for sponsorship reasons as the Serie A PosteMobile, the highest-tier level professional basketball league in Italy. The regular season started on 2 October 2016 and finished on 7 May 2017, with the playoffs started on 12 May (dependent on an Italian club qualifying for the 2017 EuroLeague Final Four or for the 2017 Champions League Playoffs) and finished between 16 and 22 June depending on results. The Lega Basket Serie A (LBA) is a professional men's club basketball league that has been organised in Italy since 1920.
