Vilmoš Zavarko
Vilmoš Zavarko (born 14 March 1988 in Bečej) is a Serbian 9 pin bowling player who plays for Serbian national team and Italian club KK Neumarkt - Imperial Life since 2019. Vilmoš Zavarko was the first player to bowl more than 700 pins at a World Championship and is currently considered the best classic bowler in the world. He is a multiple world champion, three times Champions League winner, winner of major tournaments, and holder of many records in the 120-throw system. His personal bests are unofficial world records. On February 8, 2020, during the Italian A1 League game against ASKC Passeier I - ITAS Walter, he scored 771 in 120 throws. Bečej
Bečej ( sr-cyrl, Бечеј, ; hu, Óbecse, ) is a town and municipality located in the South Bačka District of the autonomous province of Vojvodina, Serbia. The town has a population of 23,895, while the municipality has 37,351 inhabitants. It is a multiethnic town, predominantly inhabited by Serbs and Hungarians. History Bečej was mentioned first during the administration of the Kingdom of Hungary in 1091 under its Latin name Bechey and later in 1238 under Hungarian name Becse. The name probably originated from the Bechey family that had possessions in this area. In the 15th century (from 1419 to 1441) the town was a possession of the Serbian despot Đurađ Branković. In the end of the 15th century, the army of the Kingdom of Hungary led by Serbian despot Vuk Grgurević (Zmaj Ognjeni Vuk) defeated the Ottoman army near Bečej. 2022 World Singles Ninepin Bowling Classic Championships – Men's Single
The men's single event at the 2022 World Singles Ninepin Bowling Classic Championships was held in Elva, Estonia. Qualifying took place on 23-24 May, while knock-out phase from 26 May to 28 May 2022. The defending champion was Serb Vilmoš Zavarko, who won this competition at 2018 World Championships in Cluj-Napoca and successfully defended the title by defeating in the final Croatian Alen Kujundžić. Sandhausen () is a municipality in the district of Rhein-Neckar-Kreis, in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It is situated south of Heidelberg.
