Villa Park High School (VPHS) is a four-year suburban public high school located in the city of Villa Park, California, United States. It was built in 1964 and is one of four comprehensive high schools in the Orange Unified School District. The campus serves students residing in Villa Park and portions of the cities of Orange and Anaheim. Enrollment at VPHS (for the 2020-2021 school year) was 2,185 students. The ethnic breakdown of the student population was 10.4% Asian, 51.5% Hispanic, 0.8% African American and 32.1% white (non-Hispanic). The professional staff includes 88 teachers, six counselors, a library media specialist, a career adviser, an activities director, and three administrators. A dedicated classified staff also supports the school program. The school Academic Performance Index (API) for the 2011–2012 school year was 815, a six-point increase over the previous year. Villa Park is a city in Orange County, California, United States. It was founded in 1962. At the 2010 census, the city had a population of 5,812, the lowest population for a city in Orange County. Masters athletics is a class of the sport of athletics for athletes of over 35 years of age. The events include track and field, road running and cross country running. Jim Sorensen
Jim Sorensen (born May 10, 1967) is an American Track and Field athlete, known primarily for running middle distance races. He is the current Masters M40 world record holder at 800 metres and former Masters M40 world record holder at 1500 metres. Sorensen's race to stardom was rather slow. In high school he was moderately successful, finishing in 6th place in the 800 metres (1:52.38) at the 1986 CIF California State Meet while running for Villa Park High School. He then ran for Santa Ana College and Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, eventually achieving a Division II NCAA Championship at 1500 metres in 1991. Monte Scheinblum (born May 15, 1967) is an American professional golfer, and the son of former Major League Baseball All Star outfielder Richie Scheinblum. While he competed on the Nike Tour, he became known especially for his long driving, where success is achieved by a golfer hitting a golf ball the farthest. In 1992 he won the National Long Driving Championship in the United States, and was the world long driving champion. Jason Thomas Sanders (born November 16, 1995) is an American football kicker for the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at New Mexico. Paul Moyer (American Football)
Paul Stewart Moyer (born July 26, 1961 in Villa Park, California) is a former professional American football safety who played seven seasons for the Seattle Seahawks, from 1983 to 1989. He coached the Seahawks' secondary from 1990 to 1994. He currently appears as an analyst and occasional host on the Seahawks pregame and postgame shows. John Patrick McInally (born May 7, 1953) is an American former football player who was a punter and wide receiver for the Cincinnati Bengals of the National Football League (NFL). McInally was enshrined in the College Football Hall of Fame in 2016. McInally was a two-time football All Ivy League first team selection and helped lead Harvard to a share of the 1974 Ivy League title.
