Villa Magante, created in 2006 by the national Congress, is the fastest growing municipal district in Espaillat Province, Dominican Republic. Sub-districts of Villa Magante include the Urban Zone (consisting of the La Yagua neighborhood), Vereda al Medio, La Cantera, Las Tres Ceibas, and Magante. The district also includes Rogelio Beach, Magante Beach, Esmeral Bay, Puerto Escondido, and Michijo Point. Congress Of The Dominican Republic
The Congress of the Dominican Republic ( es, Congreso de la República Dominicana) is the bicameral legislature of the government of the Dominican Republic, consisting of two houses, the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies. Both senators and deputies are chosen through direct election. There are no term limits for either chamber. As provided by the Dominican Constitution, each of the 178 members of the Chamber of Deputies represents a district and serves a four-year term. Chamber seats are apportioned among the states by population. The 32 Senators serve staggered four-year terms. Each province has one senator, regardless of population. The Constitution vests all legislative power in the Congress. Espaillat Province
Espaillat () is one of the 32 provinces of the Dominican Republic. It is divided into 5 municipalities and its capital city is Moca. Located in north-central Dominican Republic (Cibao), it is bordered by the provinces of La Vega to the south, Santiago and Puerto Plata to the west, and María Trinidad Sánchez to the north-east. The province has a coastline to the north with the Atlantic Ocean. It is named for Ulises Francisco Espaillat (1823–1878), the 19th-century author who was briefly President of the Republic in 1876.
