Vila Nova, Rio Grande Do Sul
Vila Nova (meaning ''New Villa'' in English) is a neighbourhood (''bairro'') in the city of Porto Alegre, the state capital of Rio Grande do Sul, in Brazil. It was created by Law 2022 from December 7, 1959. In 1893, Italian immigrants arrived to Vila Nova, where they cultivated vines and fruits. But unlike what happened in the Serra Gaúcha, they had to purchase their properties and lots. At that time, the area was known as ''Colônia Vila Nova d'Itália''. These people also originated the ''Festa do Pêssego'' (or Peach Festival) ceremony, which has been held every year since, attracting many visitors to the neighbourhood. Vila Nova is home to different social classes people. We can find here gated communities and social housing blocks. Alvito, Portugal
Alvito () is a town and a municipality in Beja District in Portugal. The population in 2011 was 2,504, in an area of 264.85 km2. The current president municipal chamber is António João Feio Valério. History The Alvito region has been inhabited since the Neolithic, and during the period of Roman domination several villae were established nearby, later occupied by Visigoths and Moors. During the Reconquista, Alvito was conquered by the Portuguese in 1234, being later (1251) donated by King Afonso III to Estêvão Anes, chancellor of the kingdom, who promoted the settlement of the area. The village gained a foral (letter of feudal rights) in 1280, confirmed by King Dinis I in 1283. In 1296 an annual fair was established, attesting the rapid development of the region. In 1387, King John I donated Alvito to knight Diogo Lobo in exchange for his services in the decisive Battle of Aljubarrota (1385), and in 1475 the title of Baron was granted to the rulers of Alvito. Vila Nova de Milfontes is a town and civil parish (''freguesia'') in the municipality (''concelho'') of Odemira, in the Alentejo region in Portugal. Maia () is a municipality in the Porto Metropolitan Area, ''Grande Porto'' subregion, in Norte Region, Portugal. It is located 11 km north of central Porto. Azambuja
Azambuja () is a municipality in the Portuguese district of Lisbon, in the historical region of Ribatejo (and the sole municipality of within the district that does not belong to the historical province of Estremadura). The population in 2011 was 21,814, in an area of 262.66 km². Since 2002, it was integrated into the NUTS III statistical subregion of Lezíria do Tejo.
