Viktória Fődi
Viktória Fődi (February 23, 1882 – October 10, 1940), better known by her nickname Pipás Pista ("Pipe-smoking Steve"), was a Hungarian murderer and suspected serial killer responsible for at least two killings in Szeged in 1919 and 1922. A controversial, almost mythical figure in both contemporary and modern Hungary, she has been the subject of many books, plays and films dedicated to her case. Early life Many conflicting accounts exist about Fődi's past, making it hard to distinguish which claims are fact and which are fiction. According to most, she was born circa 1886 in Szeged to impoverished farmers Lukács Fődi and Mária Tómbacz, but lived in and around Tompa for the majority of her life. Her father was regarded as a violent alcoholic who frequently maltreated his family, leaving his young daughter with a great resentment towards men who acted like him. Folk Metal
Folk metal is a fusion genre of heavy metal music and traditional folk music that developed in Europe during the 1990s. It is characterised by the widespread use of folk instruments and, to a lesser extent, traditional singing styles (for example, Dutch Heidevolk, Danish Sylvatica and Spanish Stone of Erech). It also sometimes features soft instrumentation influenced by folk rock. The earliest folk metal bands were Skyclad from England and Cruachan from Ireland. National Theatre Of Szeged
The National Theatre of Szeged is the main theatre of Szeged, Hungary. It was built in 1883 by the well-known company of Ferdinand Fellner and Hermann Helmer in Eclectic and Neo-baroque style. Theatre in Szeged The last decades of the 19th century saw a surge of population in Szeged, thus the plays given by travelling companies (both Hungarian and German) rose rapidly. Plays were conducted in the upper city temple, and appropriate larger halls, like on the upper levels of the city council, until a dedicated smaller hall was opened for these purposes.
