Viktoria Aschaffenburg
SV Viktoria 01 Aschaffenburg is a German football club based in Aschaffenburg, Bavaria. Even though Aschaffenburg is located in Bavaria, Viktoria Aschaffenburg historically played its football in the Hessenliga (V) and the associated Hessian leagues, rather than the Bayernliga (V), against clubs from closer, neighbouring cities. This also reflects in part the history of the region, not traditionally part of Bavaria. The nearby Bavarian club FC Bayern Alzenau has also played in the Hessenliga for the same reasons. After 67 seasons in Hesse, from 1945 onwards, the members of the club voted with an 80% majority to return to Bavaria from the 2012–13 season onwards. Jochen Seitz
Jochen Seitz (born 11 October 1976) is a German professional football manager and former player who is the head coach of Regionalliga Bayern club Viktoria Aschaffenburg. Seitz played professionally in his country for Hamburger SV, SpVgg Unterhaching, VfB Stuttgart, FC Schalke 04, Kaiserslautern, TSG 1899 Hoffenheim and Alemannia Aachen. Towards the end of his career, he had a two-year stint at Bulgarian side Chernomorets Burgas. Playing career Seitz signed with Bulgarian Chernomorets Burgas for two years on 4 July 2009. He made his team debut a few days later, in a 2–0 friendly win against Chernomorets Pomorie. He left the club on 1 June 2011 after his contract expired. The Bundesliga (; ), sometimes referred to as the Fußball-Bundesliga () or 1. Bundesliga (), is a professional association football league in Germany. At the top of the German football league system, the Bundesliga is Germany's primary football competition. TSV 1860 Rosenheim is a German association sport club from the town of Rosenheim, Bavaria. The origins of the club are in the establishment of the gymnastics club and community fire brigade ''Freiwillige Turnerfeuerwehr Rosenheim'' on 20 October 1860. The football departments greatest success came in 2012, when it won the Bayernliga for the first time and earned promotion to the Regionalliga Bayern. SpVgg Bayern Hof is a German association football club based in Hof, Bavaria. The club was founded on 1 June 1910 as ''Ballspielclub Hof'', but within a year was renamed ''Britannia Hof''. In 1913, they merged with ''FC Roland Hof'' and ''FC Phoenix Hof'' to become ''FC Bayern Hof''. History ''FC Bayern Hof'' was a decent, but unremarkable, local side through its early decades. It spent five seasons in the tier-one '' Bezirksliga Bayern'' from 1927. Verbandsliga Hessen-Süd
The Verbandsliga Hessen-Süd, until 2008 named ''Landesliga Hessen-Süd'', is currently the sixth tier of the German football league system. Before the introduction of the Regionalligas in 1994, the "Verbandsliga Hessen-S" served as the fourth tier of the German league system in the southern part of the state of Hesse. The league also served as the fifth tier of the league system before the introduction of the 3. Liga in 2008 Overview The Verbandsliga Hessen-Süd was formed in 1965 as the ''Landesliga Hessen-Süd'', a tier four feeder league to the then ''Amateurliga Hessen''. 2009–10 Hessenliga
The 2009–10 season of the Hessenliga was the second season of the league at tier five (V) of the German football league system. FSV Frankfurt II, champions of the Hessenliga, were promoted to the 2010–11 Regionalliga Süd. KSV Klein-Karben, 1. FC Germania 08 Ober-Roden, TSG Wörsdorf and SVA Bad Hersfeld were relegated to their respective Verbandsligen, whilst Viktoria Aschaffenburg had to withdraw from the Hessenliga after the end of the season as a result of going into administration. Due to their withdrawal, OSC Vellmar were allowed to stay in the league despite having lost in the relegation playoff round in which 1. FCA Darmstadt earned their Hessenliga place for the 2010–11 season. Regionalliga Süd (1994–2012)
The Regionalliga Süd ( en, Regional League South) was the fourth tier of the German football league system from 2008 to 2012. Until the introduction of the 3. Liga in 2008, it was the third tier. It was the highest regional league for the southern part of Germany. It covered the states of Bavaria, Hesse and Baden-Württemberg and was one of three leagues at this level, together with the Regionalliga Nord and the Regionalliga West. Landesliga Hessen-Süd
The Landesliga ( en, Football State League) is a tier of football in some states of the German football league system. In Bavaria, Saxony, Thuringia, Bremen, Lower Saxony and Hamburg, the Landesligas are set right below the Oberliga and therefore are the sixth tier. The reason for this is that Bavaria, Hamburg, Lower Saxony, and Bremen are the only places in Germany where the Oberliga, the State, and the Verband are geographically the same, while the other two states simply chose to call their leagues ''Landesligas'' when establishing them in 1990. In the Middle Rhine and Lower Rhine regions of North Rhine-Westphalia it is also, since 2012, the sixth tier. The Under 19 Bayernliga (German: A-Jugend Bayernliga) is the second tier of under 19 youth football in Bavaria, set below the Under 19 Bundesliga South/Southwest. Until 1996, the league was the highest tier of under 19 football, containing the youth teams of such clubs as FC Bayern Munich, TSV 1860 Munich and 1. FC Nürnberg.
