Viktor Liina
Viktor Nikolayevich Liina (russian: Виктор Николаевич Лиина; born 19 July 1968) is an officer of the Russian Navy. He holds the rank of admiral, and is currently serving as Commander in Chief of the Baltic Fleet. Career Liina was born on 19 June 1968 in Pechory, Pskov Oblast, then part of the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic, in the Soviet Union. He studied at the in Leningrad, graduating in 1990 and being assigned to served on the submarines of the Northern Fleet. Beginning as an engineer in the electronic navigation department of a cruiser submarine, he rose through the ranks to eventually command a nuclear submarine. In 1996 he graduated from the . Pechory (russian: Печо́ры; Estonian and Seto: ') is a town and the administrative centre of Pechorsky District in the Pskov Oblast, Russia. Its population in the 2010 Census was 11,195, having fallen from 13,056 recorded in the 2002 Census and 11,935 in the 1989 Census. The Marshal Semyon Timoshenko NBC Protection Military Academy () is a military university in Kostroma in the Kostroma Oblast training officers for service in the Russian NBC Protection Troops of the Russian Ground Forces. Caucasus 2020 (also called Kavkaz 2020) was a multinational Military exercise#Command Post, command post exercise in Russia. The exercise took place from September 21 to 26. The issues practiced in the course of the Kavkaz 2020 cover command and control of groups of troops, formations and subunits in joint operations to localize and resolve armed conflicts related to countering terrorism. The participation of military contingents of nine foreign countries was planned. Nine more countries would send military observers to Russia.
