Viimeinen Atlantis
''Viimeinen Atlantis'' (in English ''The Last Atlantis'') is the fourth album by Finnish thrash metal band Stam1na. It was released on February 10, 2010. It features keyboardist Emil Lähteenmäki for the first time as a permanent band member. The album's lyrics deal with climate change and consumption culture. "The album is a record from an era in which the warning signs were visible for everyone. The water level rises but the map is burning: it is time to choose a direction and start running", commented lyricist Antti Hyyrynen. The band opened on December 9, 2009 a specific website at viimeinenatlantis.fi domain where the album story was revealed panel by panel in a comic format. In addition to a normal jewelcase CD, the album was released as a vinyl and as a book version, which includes the comic and Joonas Brandt's photo reportage of the album recording. Stam1na
Stam1na (pronounced ) is a Finnish heavy metal musical group native of Lemi, South Karelia. Their music is arguably best described as thrash metal with some progressive metal, death, alternative and punk influences, and is sung in the Finnish language. The band mainly uses seven-string guitars on all albums except the first one where they used six-strings, and a few songs were composed for eight string guitar on the eighth album '' Taival''. Name The band chose to use a '1' in their name to represent the 'I' in the word ' Stamina' to make them more distinct, primarily making the band easier to find in search engines. Perttu Kivilaakso
Perttu Päivö Kullervo Kivilaakso is a cello player for Finnish band Apocalyptica. Like fellow band members Eicca Toppinen and Paavo Lötjönen, he attended Sibelius Academy in Helsinki. He plays a German 19th century cello; he started playing the cello when he was 5 years old and joined Apocalyptica for their third studio album ''Cult''.
Kivilaakso played in Apocalyptica's 1995 line up, but he was concentrating on his studies when the band began their professional career. At the end of 1999 he came back, switching places with , who then went to play in a classical orchestra.
