Viggo Jensen (footballer Born 1921)
Hans Viggo Jensen (29 March 1921 – 30 November 2005), known simply as Viggo Jensen, was a Danish football (soccer) player in the midfielder position, who played professionally for English club Hull City from 1949 to 1956. He started his playing career with Danish amateur team Esbjerg fB. Jensen played 15 games and scored one goal for the Denmark national football team and won a bronze medal for Denmark at the 1948 Summer Olympics. Biography Jensen was born in Skagen, but made his senior level break-through with Danish club Esbjerg fB in the amateur-only Danish football. He made his debut for Esbjerg in September 1939, and played at least 195 official games for the club until 1948, including 68 games in the Danish top-flight championship from 1941 to 1945. Football at the Summer Olympics, referred to as the Olympic Football Tournament, has been included in every Summer Olympic Games as a men's competition sport, except 1896 (the inaugural Games) and 1932 (in an attempt to promote the new FIFA World Cup tournament). ''JydskeVestkysten'' is a Danish language regional newspaper published in Esbjerg, Denmark, which is among the largest publications in the country. History and profile ''JydskeVestkysten'' was first published on 15 January 1991 as a result of the merge between ''Vestkysten'', which was founded in 1917, and ''Jydske Tidende''. Varde Boldklub
Varde is a Danish city in southwestern Jutland and is the primary city in the municipality of Varde, in Region of Southern Denmark. In 2015 municipality changed its motto to "We in nature" to emphasize its rural atmosphere. The town has an old market environment and is located by Varde stream/river and is a short distance away from the beaches by the North Sea. These features make it a tourist destination. Poul Petersen (footballer)
Poul Eyvind Petersen (11 April 1921 – 31 May 1997) was a Danish amateur football player and manager. During his career he played for AB, and earned 34 caps for the Denmark national football team from 1946 to 1952. He won a bronze medal in football at the 1948 Summer Olympics, and also participated four years later in the 1952 Olympics. He was manager of the national team from 1962 to 1966. Biography Poul Petersen started his career as an attacker, and was one of legendary centre forward Carl "Skoma'r" Hansen's best students. Petersen was a quick player, with great technique and a fierce shot. He made his senior debut for Akademisk Boldklub (AB) in the inside forward position, but eventually settled in the defense as a full-back.
