Vigga
''Vigga'' is a local Norway, Norwegian newspaper published in Dombås in Oppland Counties of Norway, county. The Vigga is a regional newspaper, mainly covering events in the municipalities of Lesja and Dovre. Until 2012 it also had an office in Otta, Norway, Otta in order to cover a wider area including Sel and the municipalities along Ottadalen. ''Vigga'' was established in 1987 by the married couple Marit and Asbjørn Amble. The name originates in the local term "vigga", referring to the zone where the trees can no longer grow, where the forest end and the landscape transitions into more barren steppe or tundra like conditions typical for the mountainous areas of the region. Dombås
is a village or small town in Dovre Municipality in northern Innlandet county, Norway. The village serves as the commercial centre for the upper Gudbrandsdalen valley. It lies at an important junction of roads with the European route E6 highway heading north and south connecting the cities of Oslo and Trondheim and the European route E136 highway heading west to Åndalsnes. The Dovrebanen and Raumabanen railway lines meet in the village at Dombås Station as well. Dombås Church is located in the village. The National Association of Local Newspapers ( no, Landslaget for lokalaviser, LLA) is a Norwegian association for local newspapers. The organization was established in Voss in 1976, and it works for its member companies' general conditions and interests. The association is now a co-owner of the Norwegian Audit Bureau of Circulations, the company responsible for monitoring newspapers' circulation figures. Oppland
Oppland is a former county in Norway which existed from 1781 until its dissolution on 1 January 2020. The old Oppland county bordered the counties of Trøndelag, Møre og Romsdal, Sogn og Fjordane, Buskerud, Akershus, Oslo and Hedmark. The county administration was located in the town of Lillehammer. Merger On 1 January 2020, the neighboring counties of Oppland and Hedmark were merged to form the new Innlandet county. is a town in Sel Municipality in Innlandet county, Norway. The town is also the administrative centre of the municipality. The town is located at the confluence of the Gudbrandsdalslågen and Otta rivers. The European route E6 highway runs through the town. Ottadalen ( en, Otta Valley) is a valley in the municipalities of Skjåk, Lom, Vågå, and Sel in Innlandet county, Norway. The valley is one of the side valleys that branch off of the large Gudbrandsdalen valley. It lies on the northern edge of Jotunheimen National Park. Historically, the Ottadalen has been widely used as a transportation artery between western and eastern Norway through the Breidalen valley in Skjåk to Stryn, through the Breidalskrysset to Stranda, along the Jostedalsbreen glacier to the Jostedalen valley and Luster, and across the Sognefjellet to Sogn.
