Vietnam Championship Series
The Vietnam Championship Series (VCS) is a professional ''League of Legends'' esports league run by Riot Games and Garena. From 2013 to 2017, the VCS was a tier below Garena Premier League (GPL). In 2018, the VCS broke away from the GPL and became a separate tier one league. The Vietnamese teams have the opportunity to participate directly in international events of League of Legends organized by Riot Games without having to participate in the GPL. History 2012–2013 Before changing the name to the Vietnam Championship Series tournament that once named the Glorious Arena. Over 4 seasons from mid 2012 to the end of 2013 the tournament saw the dominance of Saigon Jokers with 3 times of champion and once champion of Full Louis. League Of Legends
''League of Legends'' (''LoL''), commonly referred to as ''League'', is a 2009 multiplayer online battle arena video game developed and published by Riot Games. Inspired by ''Defense of the Ancients'', a Mod (video games), custom map for Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos, ''Warcraft III'', Riot's founders sought to develop a stand-alone game in the same genre. LNG Esports is a Chinese professional esports organization based in Suzhou. It was known as Snake Esports from its creation in 2013 until its acquisition by sportswear company Li-Ning in 2019. COVID-19 Pandemic In Vietnam
The COVID-19 pandemic in Vietnam has resulted in confirmed cases of COVID-19 and deaths. The number of confirmed cases is the highest total in Southeast Asia, and the 13th highest in the world. Hanoi is the most affected locale with 1,609,473 confirmed cases and 1,221 deaths, followed by Ho Chi Minh City with 612,746 cases and 19,984 deaths; however, the Vietnamese Ministry of Health has estimated that the real number of cases may be four to five times higher. EVOS Esports (briefly known as Zero Latitude) is a professional esports organisation based in Jakarta, Indonesia. 2018 Spring Vietnam Championship Series
2018 Spring Vietnam Championship Series split (2018 Spring VCS) was the first half of the 6th season of the Vietnam Championship Series, a Vietnamese professional league for ''League of Legends'', the multiplayer online battle arena video game. It was the first VCS staging since Vietnam became independent competitive region from the Garena Premier League. The winner of the playoffs, EVOS Esports, automatically qualified for the 2018 Mid-Season Invitational. Saigon Buffalo is a Vietnamese professional ''League of Legends'' team competing in the Vietnam Championship Series (VCS).
