Maadhu Balaji
Maadhu Balaji, born as Balaji, is an Indian actor and comedian known for his roles in Tamil theatre plays and Tamil television serials. Balaji has acted in a number of stage plays and films. He is the brother of the late ace humorist and playwright Crazy Mohan. He gave himself the prefix "Maadhu" after Nagesh's name in '' Ethir Neechal'' (1968). Balaji graduated from the Vivekananda College, Madras University in Chennai. His stage career started during his college days where he started acting in a number of stage plays and dramas and was touted as a prospective stage and film actor. Cheenu Mohan (17 May 1956 – 27 December 2018) was an Indian actor who appeared in Tamil language films. He acted in films including ''Thalapathi'' (1991) and ''Iraivi'' (2016). Career Mohan began his career as a stage actor in the late 1970s, portrayed as a lead role in plays written by Crazy Mohan. His character name of 'Cheenu' in Crazy Mohan plays, became an identification mark of him since then. After portraying a small role in ''Varusham Padhinaaru'' (1989), Mani Ratnam's '' Anjali'' (1990) and ''Thalapathi'' (1991). His involvement in theatre and his reluctance to move into television roles, meant that roles in the film industry had evaded him. Mohan Rangachari (16 October 1952 – 10 June 2019) known professionally as Crazy Mohan, was an Indian actor, comedian, screenwriter and playwright. An engineer by profession, Mohan started writing plays and established his own drama troupe called "Crazy Creations" in 1979. In addition to dramas and tele-serials, Mohan worked as a dialogue writer on a number of comedy films. Mohan had written over 30 plays, worked on over 40 films, having cameo roles in each film, and written 100 short stories. The Tamil Nadu state government in the year 2004, awarded him the Kalaimamani title for excellence in the field of arts and literature.
