Victory Square, Kyiv
Halytska Square ( uk, Площа Галицька, lit= Galicia Square, translit=, translit.: ''Ploshcha Halytska'') in Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, is a large square in the city. The square is in Shevchenkivskyi District and located on Kyiv's main westward thoroughfare ( Prospect Beresteiskyi – bulvar Tarasa Shevchenka) being its one of the main transportation hubs. Located on the opposite side of the Old Kyiv, the square is also one of extreme points of the neighborhood along with Maidan Nezalezhnosti. It is a crossing of several historic streets such as Saksahansky street, Taras Shevchenko boulevard, Zhuliany street, Boulevard-Kudriavets street - it is a beginning of Prospect Beresteiskyi - one of the longest and broadest avenues (parkway) in the city. Kyiv-Pasazhyrskyi (''Kyiv-Passenger'', uk, Київ-Пасажирський) is a railway station in the capital of Ukraine, Kyiv. The station is a railway hub consisting of several railroad station buildings, along with its own repair facilities the Kyiv Electric Railcar Repair Shop, a railway depot with railyard, and integrated into a cityscape the railway sports complex. The station is part of the so-called Kyiv Southern Railway loop. Serving more than 170,000 passengers per day (as of 2005), the complex contains several buildings. Kuznia na Rybalskomu ( uk, "Кузня на Рибальському") is a ship building and arms industry, armament company in Kyiv, Ukraine. Situated on the Dnieper River and presently concentrating on river ships, the company is also able to produce and repair small sea vessels (both civil and navy, naval), as well as various military equipment. Kuznia na Rybalskomu was indirectly controlled by Ukrainian businessman and politician Petro Poroshenko and politician Ihor Kononenko as of 2017. Hero City (, Łacinka: ''horad-hieroj''; ; ) is a Soviet honorary title awarded for outstanding heroism during World War II (the Eastern Front is known in most countries of the former Soviet Union as the Great Patriotic War). It was awarded to twelve cities of the Soviet Union, today in Belarus (1 city and 1 fortress), Russia (6 cities), and Ukraine (4 cities). In addition, the Brest Fortress, today in Belarus, was awarded an equivalent title of Hero Fortress. This symbolic distinction for a city corresponds to the individual distinction Hero of the Soviet Union. According to the statute, the hero city was issued the Order of Lenin, the Gold Star medal, and the certificate of the heroic deed (''gramota'' or ''hramota'') from the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR.
