''Victorious: Music from the Hit TV Show'' is the debut soundtrack for the Nickelodeon TV series ''Victorious''. The majority of the album was sung by the lead actress of the television series, Victoria Justice, with the ''Victorious'' cast being listed beside her. Some of the other singers on the album include Ariana Grande, Elizabeth Gillies, Miranda Cosgrove, Leon Thomas III, Matt Bennett, Daniella Monet and Avan Jogia. The majority of the album was written by Michael Corcoran, Dan Schneider, Savan Kotecha, Kool Kojak and CJ Abraham with Victoria Justice involved in the composition of " Best Friend's Brother" and Leon Thomas III on "Song 2 You". ''Victorious'' (stylized as ''VICTORiOUS'') is an American sitcom created by Dan Schneider (TV producer), Dan Schneider that originally aired on Nickelodeon, debuting on March 27, 2010, and concluding on February 2, 2013 after four seasons. The series revolves around aspiring singer Tori Vega (portrayed by Victoria Justice), a teenager who attends a performing arts high school called Hollywood Arts High School, after taking her older sister Trina's (Daniella Monet) place in a showcase while getting into screwball comedy, screwball situations on a daily basis. Leon Thomas III
Leon G. Thomas III (born ) is an American actor, record producer, songwriter and singer. After early roles in Broadway and providing the singing voice of Tyrone on the Nick Jr. animated series ''The Backyardigans'' (2006–2008), he played André Harris on the Nickelodeon series ''Victorious'' (2010–2013), for which he received a NAACP Image Award nomination. Thomas signed to Columbia and Rostrum Records, and sought success for his songwriting, and as a member of the production duo the Rascals. Kid Albums (formerly known as Top Kid Audio) is a music chart published weekly by ''Billboard'' magazine which ranks the top selling children's music albums in the United States. The chart debuted on the issue dated September 9, 1995. It originally began as a 15-position chart, but has now been expanded to 25. Rankings are compiled by point-of-purchase sales obtained by Nielsen Soundscan data and from legal digital downloads from an all music digital retailers. The Kid Albums chart features full-length albums that are geared towards children or preteen audiences. Some genres can extend to music for younger children around 1 to 5 years in age, like lullabies, to soundtracks for films that are targeted to children of the age 5-9 to pop, teen pop and other subdivisions of it.
