Victorian HPV Series
The Victorian HPV Grand Prix Series is an annual championship held in Victoria featuring HPV's (human powered vehicles) racing around enclosed circuits for periods between six and 24 hours. 2020 Event Calendar Round 1 - Lang Lang Round 1 of the Victorian HPV Series is a six-hour race at the Lang Lang Rec Reserve. Round 2 - Winton Round 2 of the Victorian HPV Series is one of the best race tracks in Victoria. Held at Winton Motor raceway in Benalla This 24 hour race will be the first time Hpv racing heads to this great racetrack. Round 3 - Kilsyth Round 4 - Casey Fields Round 4 of the Victorian HPV Series returns to the Casey Fields Criterium Circuit for another six hour race. Velomobile
A velomobile (); velomobiel, velo, or bicycle car is a human-powered vehicle (HPV) enclosed for aerodynamic advantage and/or protection from weather and collisions. Velomobiles are similar to recumbent bicycles, pedal go-karts and tricycles, but with a full fairing (aerodynamic or weather protective shell) and are not to be confused with purpose-built mobiles for racing or speed records fully faired vehicles with two wheels, generally called streamliners. Streamliners have set many speed and distance records. Though fast in their own right, velomobiles are considered much more suitable for the street than two-wheeled streamliners. Using three or more wheels can have advantages for everyday use, including the ability to stop and start unaided, better stability, cross-wind handling, etc., though there are arguments made that the multiple track machines (three or more wheels) have aerodynamic disadvantages due to the drag of the extra wheels and the surface contact points. Cranbourne () is a city in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 43 km south-east of Melbourne's Central Business District, located within the City of Casey local government area. Casey Fields is a $30 million, 70 hectare multi-sports complex in the City of Casey at Cranbourne East a southeastern suburb of Melbourne. The complex is home to Australian rules football, cricket, netball, soccer, tennis, cycling, golf, and rugby football. A prominent arena within the complex is the VFL Oval, an Australian rules football oval which serves as the home of the Casey Demons in the Victorian Football League. Technology Challenge Maryborough
The Fraser Coast Technology Challenge is an annual youth and technology event held in Maryborough, Queensland, Australia. The Royal Automobile Club of Queensland has been a committed supporter of this event. The Fraser Coast Technology Challenge aims to help develop efficient, environmentally friendly, vehicles as forms of transport, as well as using emerging technologies in ways to help further students education. The Australian HPV Super Series is an annual championship held in South Australia and Western Australia featuring velomobiles racing around enclosed circuits for a period between 6 and 24 hours. The largest event of its kind anywhere in the world, it attracts teams from all around Australia, and even overseas.
