Victor Veysey
Victor Vincent Veysey (April 14, 1915 – February 13, 2001) was an American Republican politician who represented California in the United States House of Representatives for two terms from 1971 to 1975. From 1975 to 1977, he served as Assistant Secretary of the Army under President Gerald Ford. Education Born in 1915 in Los Angeles, California, Veysey grew up in Brawley and Eagle Rock, graduating from Eagle Rock High School. He received a BS in civil engineering from Caltech in 1936 and an MBA from Harvard University in 1938. He also did graduate work at Stanford University. Career Veysey was a professor at Caltech from 1938 to 1940 and from 1941 to 1946, and at Stanford University from 1940 to 1941. He subsequently moved to the Imperial Valley where he farmed. A Bachelor of Science (BS, BSc, SB, or ScB; from the Latin ') is a bachelor's degree awarded for programs that generally last three to five years. The first university to admit a student to the degree of Bachelor of Science was the University of London in 1860. Clair Burgener
Clair Walter Burgener (December 5, 1921 – September 9, 2006) was an American politician who served as a Republican member of the U.S. House of Representatives from 1973 to 1983. Early life Clair Burgener was born in Vernal, Utah, and grew up there and in Salt Lake City. He served in the Pacific in the Army Air Corps during World War II as a navigator. He attained second lieutenant and was awarded the Air Medal in 1945. Later, he was recalled for Air Force service during the Korean War. Burgener graduated from San Diego State College with a BA in liberal arts. He was a realtor in the early 1950s with his brother. In 1951 Burgener was on the stage of the Old Globe Theatre in Balboa Park, playing Elwood P. Dowd in '' Harvey'' for a 33-day run. Burgener was a Latter-day Saint. West Covina is a suburban city in Los Angeles County, California, located east of Downtown Los Angeles in the eastern San Gabriel Valley and is part of Greater Los Angeles. The 1972 Republican National Convention was held from August 21 to August 23, 1972 at the Miami Beach Convention Center in Miami Beach, Florida. It nominated President Richard M. Nixon and Vice President Spiro T. Agnew for reelection. The convention was chaired by House minority leader and future Nixon successor Gerald Ford of Michigan.
