Victor Pastor
Victor Pastor (1937 – 2002) was a Monegasque businessman and one of the three heirs of the Monaco construction magnate Gildo Pastor. Early life He was born in Monaco, the son of the property developer Gildo Pastor. Career He founded Group Pastor. In 1973, he was responsible for (assisted by his cousins Edmond and Jean-Antoine Pastor) the construction of the concert venue, Salle des Etoiles at Sporting Monte-Carlo, also known as the Summer Sporting Club. His sons Patrice and Jean-Victor have described this as "the most complicated and the most innovative project in the history of the family business", especially the "amazing slideback roof", which was "true technical prowess in those days". In 2014, Sporting d’Eté celebrated its 40th anniversary. The complex includes the nightclub Jimmy'z. Gildo Pastor
Gildo Pastor (October 6, 1910 – October 21, 1990) was a Monégasque businessman and property developer. Life and career Gildo Pastor was born in Monaco as the son of Jean-Baptiste Pastor, a stonemason from Liguria in Italy, who immigrated to Monte Carlo as a young man in the 1880s. He was educated at the Public Works School. In 1950, he became the Lebanese consul in Monaco. After World War II, Pastor acquired oceanfront land at low prices, and in the 1950s, he started building apartment blocks. With a conservative, debt-averse approach, the Pastor family eventually owned some 3,000 apartments, representing 15% of Monaco's total housing stock and worth about Euro 20 billion.
