Vicky Maeijer
Vicky Maeijer (born 7 September 1986) is a Dutch politician representing the Party for Freedom. She has been a member of the House of Representatives since 23 March 2017. Previously, she was a Member of the European Parliament for the Netherlands from 2014 to 2017. Career Maeijer obtained a bachelor's degree in Dutch law at the Erasmus University Rotterdam in 2009, and completed a master's degree in international and European public law at the same institution. Between 2007 and 2014 she worked at different times as a policy worker for the Party for Freedom party in the House of Representatives of the Netherlands and the European Parliament. She started working for Raymond de Roon and later became an aid to Louis Bontes. She entered the 2011 Dutch provincial elections as the lijsttrekker (top party candidate) for the Party for Freedom at age 24. House Of Representatives (Netherlands)
The House of Representatives (, pronounced ; commonly referred to as the ', literally "Second Chamber of the States General") is the lower house of the bicameral parliament of the Netherlands, the States General, the other one being the Senate. It has 150 seats, which are filled through elections using party-list proportional representation. Generally, the house is located in the Binnenhof in The Hague, however, it has temporarily moved to the former building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs at Bezuidenhoutseweg 67 in the Hague while the Binnenhof is being renovated. Name Although the body is officially called the "House of Representatives" in English, it is not a direct translation of its official Dutch name, the "Second Chamber of the States General", "Second Chamber" or more colloquially just the "Chamber". Provincial elections were held in the Netherlands on Wednesday 18 March 2015. Eligible voters elected the members of the States-Provincial in the twelve provinces. These elections also indirectly determined the members of the Senate, since the 566 members of the twelve States-Provincial will elect the Senate's 75 members in the Senate election on 26 May 2015.
