Vice president of Guatemala is a political position in Guatemala which is since 1966 elected concurrently with the position of President of Guatemala. The current Vice President is Guillermo Castillo Reyes. The Vice President needs to be a Guatemalan citizen of over 40 years of age. Historically, there have been provisions for multiple Vice Presidents or presidential designates elected for one-year-term. The election was carried in Congress of Guatemala. Guillermo Castillo Reyes
César Guillermo Castillo Reyes ( : born 17 March 1966) is a Guatemala, Guatemalan politician and lawyer who is the incumbent Vice President of Guatemala. Castillo graduated as a lawyer from the Universidad de San Carlos de Guatemala in 1998 and then completed a master's degree in human rights at the Rafael Landívar University. Castillo was Deputy Minister of Labor from January 2004 to May 2005. He also served as a member of the board of directors of the Bar Association and Notaries of Guatemala. In 2013 he was appointed executive director of the Chamber of Commerce of Guatemala, leaving office in 2018. Manuel Almeida Duarte (29 May 1945 – 2 September 2022) was a Portuguese footballer who played as a striker. Club career Duarte was born in Celorico de Basto, Braga District. José María Reina Andrade (1 November 1860 – 25 April 1947) was the acting President of Guatemala from 2 January 1931 to 14 February 1931. Reina Andrade was appointed by the Congress of Guatemala on 31 December 1930, as president of the Republic. On 2 January 1931, he called for Congress to take over the chairmanship of the republic. Manuel Estrada Cabrera
Manuel José Estrada Cabrera (21 November 1857 – 24 September 1924) was the President of Guatemala from 1898 to 1920. A lawyer with no military background, he was a strong ruler (dictator) who modernised the country's industry and transportation infrastructure, but only via granting concessions to the American-owned United Fruit Company, whose influence on the government was deeply unpopular among the population. Estrada Cabrera used increasingly brutal methods to assert his authority, including armed strike-breaking, and he effectively controlled the general elections. He retained power for 22 years through controlled elections in 1904, 1910, and 1916, and was eventually removed from office when the national assembly declared him mentally incompetent, and he was jailed for corruption.
