Vic Hubbard
Victor Hubbard (born 18 November 1952) is an English former professional darts player who competed members in the 1980s. Career Hubbard qualified for the 1986 World Professional Darts Championship, beating Tony Payne in the first round before losing in the second round to Jocky Wilson. 17 years later, Hubbard joined the Professional Darts Corporation and qualified for the 2003 UK Open but lost his first match 5-0 to Steve Maish. He played in three more UK Open championships, reaching the third round in 2004 and 2005, losing to Wayne Mardle and Adrian Lewis respectively, and reaching the second round in 2006, losing to Roland Scholten. He retired from PDC darts in 2006. Personal life Hubbard's son James became PDC World Youth Champion in 2012 and qualified for the 2011 Grand Slam of Darts. Steve Maish
Stephen Maish (born 22 November 1963 in Southend, Essex) is a retired English professional darts player who competed in Professional Darts Corporation events. He used the nickname Mr Magic for his matches. Career Maish made his televised debut at the 2003 UK Open beating Vic Hubbard but lost 5–0 to former World Champion Steve Beaton. He then played in his first PDC World Darts Championship in 2004, beating former World Masters semi-finalist Tony Payne of the United States in the first round and then beat four-time World semi-finalist Cliff Lazarenko in the second round before losing in the third round to Wayne Mardle. 2011 Grand Slam Of Darts
The 2011 William Hill Grand Slam of Darts, was the fifth staging of the darts tournament organised by the Professional Darts Corporation. The event took place from 12–20 November 2011 at the Wolverhampton Civic Hall, Wolverhampton, England. For the first time, Sky Sports was given the television coverage of the Grand Slam after taking over from ITV Sport as the event's broadcaster. Scott Waites was the defending champion, but he was eliminated in the group stages. The title was won for the fourth time by Phil Taylor, who defeated Gary Anderson 16–4 in the final. James Hubbard (born 24 July 1992) is a former English professional darts player. Career Hubbard reached the final of the 2012 PDC World Youth Championship. He beat Michael van Gerwen in the final at the The O2 Arena (London), O2 Arena in London on 17 May 2012. As a result of reaching the final, he received a PDC Pro Tour card for 2012. Hubbard's title also earned him an invitation to the 2011 Grand Slam of Darts. Roland Scholten
Roland Scholten (born 11 January 1965) is a Dutch former professional darts player who played in events of the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) and British Darts Organisation (BDO). Nicknamed The Tripod and The Flying Dutchman, Scholten turned full-time professional in 2001 having previously worked as a publican. Despite his Dutch nationality, Scholten speaks with a strong English accent having lived in Peterborough for several years. His considerable height and throwing technique means his darts hit the board at a considerably narrow angle. BDO career Scholten was runner-up in the 1992 Austrian Open, losing to Rod Harrington. Adrian Lewis
Adrian Lewis (born 21 January 1985) is an English professional darts player currently playing in the PDC. He is a two-time PDC World Darts Champion, winning in 2011 and 2012. He is nicknamed Jackpot, as he won a jackpot gambling in Las Vegas in 2005, but he was unable to collect the money as he was 20 years old, below the US legal gambling age of 21.
