Viasat Sport Norway
V Sport is a group of Norwegian television channels owned by Viaplay Group, and a part of the pan-Nordic V Sport brand. The channel launched on 17 October 2008, when Viasat re-tooled their sports channels in Norway and Sweden. Together with Viasat Motor, it replaced Viasat Sport 1, 2 and 3 in Norway. When the channel launched, exclusive highlights on the channel were several football events such as the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, 2010 World Cup qualifications, the FA Cup and League Cup, as well as Formula One, NFL, boxing, cycling, GET-ligaen, and Ice Hockey World Championship. In 2017, Viasat Sport in Norway was renamed Viasport, and in 2020, Viasport was renamed V Sport, the common brand for NENT sports channels. Viaplay Group AB, formerly known as Nordic Entertainment Group AB (NENT Group), is a Swedish media and entertainment company headquartered in Stockholm. The company operates the namesake video streaming services Viaplay and Viafree, advertising-funded TV and radio channels, the V pay-TV channels, as well as the studio production company Viaplay Studios. Premier League Darts is a darts tournament which launched on 20 January 2005 on Sky Sports. Now played weekly from February to May, the event originally started as a fortnightly fixture in small venues around the United Kingdom. The tournament originally featured seven players, and now sees eight players from the PDC circuit competing in a knockout style format, with nights also hosted in Europe at different venues. The top four players in the PDC Order of Merit are joined by four wildcard selections to make up the eight-man field. Alongside the World Championship and the World Matchplay, it is considered part of the sport's Triple Crown. The current sponsor is Cazoo. Ligue 1, officially known as Ligue 1 Uber Eats for sponsorship reasons, is a French professional league for men's association football clubs. At the top of the French football league system, it is the country's primary football competition. The Open Championship, often referred to as The Open or the British Open, is the oldest golf tournament in the world, and one of the most prestigious. The Ryder Cup is a biennial men's golf competition between teams from Europe and the United States.
