Vianney Bureau (; born 13 February 1991), better known by the mononym Vianney, is a French singer-songwriter. At 24 years old he won the award for performing artist of the year at the "Victoires de la musique 2016" one year after having been named in the up and coming category of the "Victoires de la musique 2015". His debut album ''Idées blanches'' was certified platinum. His second album was released on 25 November 2016 and was certified double platinum. Beginnings Born to a father who was a helicopter pilot in the army and a mother who worked in animal control, Vianney comes from a family of three brothers. Vianney grew up in music-loving family. Tôt ou Tard (stylized as tôt Ou tard) is an independent French record label. It was founded in 1996 as a break-off from Warner Music Group, and turned independent in 2002. The name of the label can be translated as "Sooner or later" in French. Vincent Frèrebeau heads the label, which has about thirty bands and artists signed to it (in 2005). In 2011, Wagram Music acquired a stake in the label and became its exclusive distributor. In September 2018, Wagram Music sold a 49% stake in Tôt ou Tard to Believe Digital. ''Idées blanches'' is the debut album of French singer-songwriter Vianney. The album was released in France on 20 October 2014 by Tôt ou tard and was released in Europe on 21 August 2015 by Island Records. A 2 CD Deluxe edition was also published on 20 December 2015, the first CD containing the original titles of the debut album and additionally the track "Lean On" (a cover of Major Lazer and DJ Snake) and two remixes, Skydancers Remix for "Veronica" and Antoine Essertier Remix for "Aux débutants de l'amour". The second CD is separately titled ''Idées blanches - Les acoustiques'' containing acoustic renditions of the debut album titles. The album charted on the French Albums Chart peaking at number 30. Background All songs on the album were written by Vianney Bureau himself.
