Franz Wohlfahrt (footballer)
Franz Bernhard Wohlfahrt (; born 1 July 1964) is an Austrian former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. Club career Born in Sankt Veit an der Glan, Carinthia, Wohlfahrt started his career at hometown outfit SV Sankt Veit. He turned professional at FK Austria Wien, where he would spend almost 20 years in two spells, winning six league titles and four domestic cups. In 1996, aged 32, he finally moved abroad, joining Germany's VfB Stuttgart, and being essential as the club reached the final of the 1997–98 Cup Winner's Cup, lost 1–0 to Chelsea FC. Subsequently, he returned to his first club, retiring a few years later with amateurs SC Untersiebenbrunn. Fritz Walter (born 21 July 1960) is a German former professional footballer who played as a striker, and who was nicknamed "Little Fritz". Born in Mannheim, he is of no relation to German legend of the same name Fritz Walter. With 22 goals in the 1991–92 Bundesliga season, Fritz Walter was crowned the league's top scorer when he won the German Championship with VfB Stuttgart. Thomas Schneider (footballer)
Thomas Schneider (born 24 November 1972) is a German professional football manager and former player who played as a defender. He was the assistant manager to Joachim Löw for the German national team. Schneider had previously been manager of Bundesliga club VfB Stuttgart. Playing career Schneider joined VfB Stuttgart as a 10-year-old, and progressed through the youth teams, making his breakthrough in the 1991–92 season. He made two appearances that year, deputising for Uwe Schneider (no relation) as the club won the Bundesliga title. Andreas Müller (born 13 December 1962 in Stuttgart) is a German former footballer who played mainly as a defensive midfielder. Football career Müller started his professional career at hometown's VfB Stuttgart, where he remained four seasons; in his first season, he netted five times in 20 league matches, helping the club clinch the title (with the title decided on goal difference, he found the net in consecutive 6–0 routings, against Fortuna Düsseldorf and at 1. FC Nürnberg, in April 1984). After a sole year at Hannover 96, he transferred to FC Schalke 04, then in the second division. Forwards (also known as attackers) are outfield positions in an association football team who play the furthest up the pitch and are therefore most responsible for scoring goals as well as assisting them.
