Veternička Rampa ( sr, Ветерничка Рампа) is an urban neighborhood of the city of Novi Sad, Serbia. Borders The southern border of Veternička Rampa is Novosadski put (Novi Sad Road), the eastern border is Ulica Somborska rampa (Somborska Rampa Street), the northern border is a prolongation of the Bulevar Vojvode Stepe (Vojvoda Stepa Boulevard), and the western border is a western city limit of Novi Sad. Novi Sad
Novi Sad ( sr-Cyrl, Нови Сад, ; hu, Újvidék, ; german: Neusatz; see below for other names) is the second largest city in Serbia and the capital of the autonomous province of Vojvodina. It is located in the southern portion of the Pannonian Plain on the border of the Bačka and Syrmia geographical regions. Bistrica (Novo Naselje)
Bistrica ( sr-Cyrl, Бистрица), also known as Novo Naselje ( sr-Cyrl, Ново Насеље), is an urban neighborhood of the city of Novi Sad, Serbia. Bistrica (including Satelit) is one of the most populated urban areas of the city. Names The old name of the settlement was ''Novo Naselje'', but it was officially changed to ''Bistrica'' in 1992. However, most of the inhabitants of the settlement still prefer to use the old name. In Hungarian language, Hungarian the place is known as ''Újtelep''. Satelit neighborhood would get its name due to the launch of the Sputnik 1 satellite in 1957, starting the space era craze, as well the neighborhood being located far from the majority of the city (as a satellite to the city). Veternik
Veternik ( sr-cyr, Ветерник) is a suburban settlement of the city of Novi Sad, Serbia. Its population numbers 17,454 (2011 census) and most of its inhabitants are ethnic Serbs. Over the years, especially in the 1990s, it grew with size and inhabitants thus merging with Futog to the west and Novi Sad to the east. Name The settlement was named in honour of the assault of the Serbian army in the Veternik mountain area during the breach of the Macedonian front in World War I. It was first called ''Novi Veternik'' ("New Veternik"), but was later changed into ''Veternik''.
