Vestfold Kollektivtrafikk (VKT) (lit. ''Vestfold Public Transport'') is the public transport administration for the county of Vestfold in Norway. VKT is responsible for planning, organising and marketing bus transport in the county, but does not operate any buses. Instead the operation is done by private companies based on public service obligation contracts or negotiations. VKT is organised as a limited company owned by the county administration. Tønsberg , historically Tunsberg, is a city and municipality in Vestfold og Telemark county, eastern Norway, located around south-southwest of Oslo on the western coast of the Oslofjord near its mouth onto the Skagerrak. Vestfold
Vestfold is a traditional region, a former county and a current electoral district in Eastern Norway. In 2020 the county became part of the much larger county of Vestfold og Telemark. Located on the western shore of the Oslofjord, it bordered the previous Buskerud and Telemark counties. The county administration was located in Tønsberg, Norway's oldest city, and the largest city is Sandefjord. Vestfold County Municipality
Vestfold County Municipality ( no, Vestfold fylkeskommune) is the regional governing administration of Vestfold county in Norway, after the county was re-established in 2024. The county municipality was earlier established on 1 January 1976 when the law was changed to allow elected county councils in Norway. The county municipality was dissolved on 1 January 2020, when Vestfold was merged with the neighboring Telemark county, creating the new Vestfold og Telemark county which was led by the Vestfold og Telemark County Municipality.
