Norwegian ( no, norsk, links=no ) is a North Germanic language spoken mainly in Norway, where it is an official language. Stokmarknes
is a town and the administrative centre of Hadsel Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. It is located on the northern coast of the island of Hadseløya and on the small, neighboring island of Børøya. In 2000, Stokmarknes received " town status". The town has a population (2018) of 3,367 which gives the town a population density of . Stokmarknes is the headquarters to the Hurtigruten coastal express company and also the Coastal Express Museum. The local hospital for the whole Vesterålen region ( Nordland Hospital) is located in Stokmarknes. Stokmarknes is the home town of Norwegian band Madrugada. The historic Hadsel Church is located about east of Stokmarknes. The Børøy Bridge and Hadsel Bridge connect Stokmarknes to the island of Langøya to the north. Vesterålen
Vesterålen is a district and archipelago in Nordland county, Norway. It is located just north of Lofoten and west of Harstad. It is the northernmost part of Nordland county. Sortland is the largest town, situated near the center of the archipelago. Vesterålen includes the municipalities of Andøy, Bø, Hadsel, Sortland, and Øksnes. Name The Old Norse forms of the name were ' and ' (plural). The first element is ' which means "west" and the last element is ' which means "(deep and narrow) sound" or "strait". Nanna Bergitte Caroline With (30 May 1874 – 22 February 1965) was a Norwegian journalist, voice pedagogue and organizational leader. Early life and career She was born in Andenes, Norway, a daughter of ship owner and politician Richard With and Oline Sophie Wennberg. She was editor-in-chief of the newspaper ''Vesteraalens Avis'' from 1905 to 1907, and ''Hver 8. Dag'' from 1907 to 1919. From 1914 to 1919 she also edited a sports paper, ''Sportsmanden ''Sportsmanden'' ('The Sportsman') was a Norwegian weekly sports newspaper. It was established in 1913 by Magnus Brænden, absorbed the competitor ''Idrætsliv'' in 1933, and went defunct in 1965. From 1914 to 1919 the paper was edited by Nanna Wit ...''. ''Norsk presses historie 1660–2010'' is a four-volume work about the press media history of Norway. It was published in April 2010 by Universitetsforlaget, and was the first book of its kind in Norway. Structure and production Hans Fredrik Dahl was the superior editor of all four volumes. The first volume, ''En samfunnsmakt blir til. 1660–1880'' was edited by Martin Eide. The second volume, ''Presse, parti og publikum. 1880–1945'' was edited by Rune Ottosen. The third volume, ''Imperiet vakler. 1945–2010'' was edited by Guri Hjeltnes. The fourth volume, ''Norske aviser fra A til Å'' was edited by Idar Flo. While the first three volumes are written in regular prose, the fourth volume is more of an encyclopedia with about 400 "newspaper biographies". Composed of 1925 pages across all volumes, the entire work cost and was finished after eleven years. Mass is an intrinsic property of a body. It was traditionally believed to be related to the quantity of matter in a physical body, until the discovery of the atom and particle physics.
