Vesel Limaj
Vesel Limaj (born 1 December 1996) is a German professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder for Ballkani. Early career Born in Freising, Germany to Kosovo Albanian parents, Limaj started his youth career at SSV Ulm 1846 at the age of 6, before going on to play for 1. FC Neukölln, SV Lichtenberg 47, Berliner FC Dynamo, Tennis Borussia Berlin and Energie Cottbus at youth level. He joined Hamburger SV II in the summer of 2015 where he would remain until January 2017, which is when he signed for Austrian Football First League club SV Horn. He signed a one-and-a-half year contract with SV Horn but made just one substitute appearance in the league before leaving the club at the end of the 2016–17 season In July 2023, Limaj signed a contract with Ballkani. The 2021–22 Kategoria Superiore is the 83rd official season, or 86th season of top-tier football in Albania (including three unofficial championships during World War II) and the 22nd season under the name Kategoria Superiore. The season began in 10 September 2021 and will end on 26 May 2022. The winners of this season's Kategoria Superiore will earn a place in the first qualifying round of the 2022–23 Champions League, with the second and third placed clubs earning a place in the first qualifying round of the 2022–23 Europa Conference League. The Kategoria Superiore, officially known as Abissnet Superiore for sponsorship reasons, is a professional league for men's association football clubs. At the top of the Albanian football league system, it is the country's primary football competition. It is contested by 10 clubs, and operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the Kategoria e Parë. Seasons run from August to May, with teams playing 36 matches each (playing each team in the league four times, twice at home and twice away). The Albanian Supercup is a single match usually at the beginning of the season between the winners of the Kategoria Superiore and Albanian Cup. Supercup final was not played in the occasions when the champion team won the Double (association football), Double. 2018–19 Albanian Cup () was the sixty-seventh season of Albania's annual cup competition. Skënderbeu are the defending champions. Kukësi won the title for the second time in their history. Format Ties are played in a two-legged format similar to those of European competitions. If the aggregate score is tied after both games, the team with the higher number of away goals advances. If the number of away goals is equal in both games, the match is decided by extra time and a penalty shoot-out, if necessary. Albanian Cup
The Albanian Cup ( sq, Kupa e Shqipërisë) is the main "knockout" competition in Albanian football. The competition started in 1939 as Kupa e Mbretit (English:"The King's Cup"). Just after a year the cup was suspended as the Second World War started. It started again in 1948 as "Kupa e Republikes" (English: "Republic Cup") and from 1991 as "Kupa e Shqipërisë" (Albanian Cup). Today it is the second most important competition in Albania after the Kategoria Superiore.
