Veronika Ihász
Veronika Ihász (born 20 September 1985) is a Hungarian professional darts player who plays in the World Darts Federation (WDF) events. She is a seven-time Apatin Open Champion and first Hungarian player who qualified for the BDO World Darts Championship, WDF World Darts Championship. Career Ihász started playing darts before 2009. In 2009, she took her first triumph at the Hungarian Open (darts), Hungarian Open where she beat Viktória Kiss. In the following years, she maintained a high position in the national ranking of women. In 2011, she won another international tournament Carinthian Open. She also advanced to the quarter-finals in Belgium Open (darts), Belgium Open and Czech Open (darts), Czech Open. In 2021, she won Budapest Classic (darts), Budapest Classic and Budapest Masters (darts), Budapest Masters. Csorna
Csorna is a town in Győr-Moson-Sopron county, Hungary. Csorna is located near the Fertő-Hanság National Park. There are two districts in the town: the Földsziget and the Csatárimajor. World Masters (darts)
The World Masters is one of the longest-running and most prestigious of the BDO/WDF tournaments, which began in 1974. The tournament is sponsored by darts board manufacturer, Winmau. The World Masters was unusual in darts in that its sets are the best of 3 legs (first to 2) rather than the standard best of 5 legs (first to 3). It was previously the final leg of the BDO's Grand Slam title of televised majors, along with the BDO World Darts Championship, International Darts League and World Darts Trophy, until the latter two tournaments were axed in 2008. The champion is referred to as the World Master. After the collapse of the British Darts Organisation in September 2020, the World Darts Federation announced plans to launch the WDF World Masters. Lorraine Winstanley
Lorraine Winstanley (née Farlam, born 28 October 1975) is an English darts player who plays in both World Darts Federation (WDF) and Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. Career Winstanley won the 2011 Romanian International Darts Open beating Jane Shearing 5–1 in the final. She qualified for the 2011 BDO World Darts Championship, where she lost 0–2 to Irina Armstrong in the quarter-finals. The following year, she went one step further by making it through to the semi-finals, where she was narrowly defeated by Deta Hedman in a last leg decider. Winstanley qualified again for the World Championships in 2013, and made it as far as the quarter-finals, where she was beaten 0–2 by Anastasia Dobromyslova. Beau Greaves (born 9 January 2004) is an English darts player who currently plays in the World Darts Federation (WDF) and Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. She is the current World Darts Federation women's world champion, having won the 2022 WDF World Darts Championship. She is also a WDF Europe Cup Champion. Career Early career Greaves started playing regularly in tournaments and league games at the age of 10, having been introduced to darts by her brother Taylor. She made her stage debut at the girls' 2014 Winmau World Masters and lost in the final to Robyn Byrne. Two years later, she won a gold medal in the 2016 WDF Europe Cup Youth singles competition against Christina Schuler by 4–1 in legs and also takes gold and silver medal in others competition. World Professional Darts Championship
The World Professional Darts Championship is one of the most important tournaments in the darts calendar. Originally held as an annual event between 1978 and 1993, players then broke off into two separate organisations after a controversial split in the game. Each organisation, the British Darts Organisation (BDO) and the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) then arranged their own World Championships, the former in January the latter in December. As a result, there was no longer was an unified world champion in the sport for nearly three decades. The BDO version dated back to 1978, when it was held at the Heart of the Midlands nightclub, Nottingham. The following year it moved to the Jollees Cabaret Club, Stoke, where it stayed until 1985.
