Verona Area High School
Verona Area High School (VAHS) is a high school in Verona, Wisconsin, United States. It is part of the Verona Area School District. Academics Accredited by the North Central Association, VAHS offers a core curriculum in grades 9 through 12 that does not track students by ability; instead, advanced opportunities are offered within the curriculum of each course. Consequently, VAHS courses do not carry designations such as "Honors" in their titles. Grade 9 and 10 students in core classes are taught in teams of English/social studies and math/science instructors. Students in the 11th and 12th grades have the opportunity to take Advanced Placement courses in English language, English literature, world history, chemistry, biology, physics B, physics C, statistics, psychology, calculus AB, and calculus BC. Jack Skille (born May 19, 1987) is an American former professional ice hockey right winger. Joe Wineke
Joseph S. Wineke (born January 5, 1957) is an American politician. He was chairman of the Democratic Party of Wisconsin from 2005 through 2009. During his term as chair, he saw the Democrats gain full control of Wisconsin's executive and legislative branches for the first time since 1986. Before becoming party chair, he served ten years in the Wisconsin State Assembly and six years in the Wisconsin State Senate, representing suburban areas of Dane, Green, and Rock counties. Neil Scott Walker (born June 25, 1976) is an American former competition swimmer, four-time Olympic medalist, and former world record-holder in multiple events. Walker represented the United States at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, where he won a silver medal in the men's 4×100-meter freestyle relay, and at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, where he also won a bronze in the 4×100-meter freestyle relay.
