Verna (film)
''Verna'' () is a 2017 Pakistani drama film written, directed and produced by Shoaib Mansoor under his Shoman Productions. The film stars Mahira Khan and debutants Haroon Shahid, Zarrar Khan and Naimal Khawar. Pre-production began in October 2016, and most of the principal photography took place in Islamabad. The film released worldwide on 17 November 2017, and was distributed by Hum Films and Eveready Pictures. Plot ''Verna'' is a story of a happy couple, Sara and Aami, a disabled man. Sara and Aami were enjoying a great time at the park with Aami's sister, Mahgul. While at the park, a black SUV stops and the men inside the SUV attempt to take Mahgul away. Shoaib Mansoor (Full name, Shoaib Mansoor), ( ur, ; born 4 February 1951 Karachi) is a Pakistani television and film director, writer, producer, lyricist and musician of Muhajir origin. Active in the television industry since 1980, he first found success for composing and writing the song Dil Dil Pakistan in 1987, thereby introducing Vital Signs musical band in mainstream Pakistani television. He was also well-recognised for directing many critically acclaimed hit drama series on Pakistani television. ''Bol'' is the soundtrack album of the 2011 Urdu-language Pakistani film '' Bol'' by Shoaib Mansoor. Overview and reception All songs are mixed and mastered by Kashif Ejaz. The singers include Atif Aslam, Sajjad Ali, Hadiqa Kiani, Ahmed Jahanzeb, Shabnam Majeed, Sahir Ali Bagga, Bina Jawad, Ali Javed. The song Hona Tha Payar was written and composed by a 16-years-old boy Ali Javed who sold the copyrights of song to the team Bol. The soundtrack was successful and generally received positive reviews from critics. The Patari are a community found mainly in the Sonbhadra district of Uttar Pradesh, India. History and origin There are various theories as to the origin of the Patari tribe. According to the tribe itself, the Patari are by origin Gond tribals, who were ritual specialists and advisers to the Gond kings. They belong to the Devgond sub-division. Other sources, such as William Crooke claim that the Patari are actually of Majhwar origin, and descend from seven brothers, of which their ancestor Patari was responsible for the rituals and traditions of the other six Majhwar clans. Murder Of Shahzeb Khan
On 25 December 2012, university student Shahzeb Khan was murdered in a targeted revenge killing in Karachi, Pakistan. The initial lack of action from police in apprehending Shahzeb Khan's killers sparked countrywide outrage and protests against the abuse of power by the wealthy in Pakistan. On 7 June 2013 Shahrukh Jatoi, son of feudal Sikandar Jatoi and Siraj Talpur, from the Talpur clan, were sentenced to death for this crime, while Sajjad Talpur and Ghulam Murtaza Lashari were sentenced to life imprisonment for aiding the two killers. However, in September 2013 Shahzeb's parents, DSP Aurangzeb Khan and Ambreen Aurangzeb, decided to file an affidavit with the court pardoning all four accused and requesting their release, the Sindh High Court released the culprits on 23 December 2017.
