Vermont Voltage
Vermont Voltage was an American association football, soccer team based in St. Albans (city), Vermont, St. Albans, Vermont, United States. Founded in 1997, the team played in the USL Premier Development League (PDL), the fourth tier of the American Soccer Pyramid, in the Northeast Division of the Eastern Conference, having spent the 2009 season on hiatus. The Voltage folded after the 2014 season. The team played its home games at the Collins-Perley Sports Complex. The team's colors were yellow, blue and black. History Founded as the Vermont Wanderers in 1997, the team played in the USL Second Division from 1997 to 1998 before moving to the Premier Development League, where it would compete from 1999 to 2014, with a one-year hiatus in 2009. The club played its first game on April 12, 1997, a 0–3 defeat to the Seacoast United Phantoms, New Hampshire Phantoms. Vladimir Edouard (born 18 June 1978) is a Canadian-born Haitian former footballer who played as a forward. He also played at the international level with the Haiti national team. Playing career Youth career Edouard spent a portion of his youth in Haiti where he played at the youth level. In 1994, he returned to Quebec where he played in the local regional circuit the Ligue de soccer élite du Québec with Outaouais Football Club. Olivier Occéan (), born October 23, 1981) is a retired Canadian professional soccer player and current assistant coach of IF Urædd. Club career College soccer Occéan played college soccer at Essex County College, Newark NJ in NJCAA Division 1 and at Southern Connecticut State University for the Fighting Owls in the NCAA Division II, from 2001 to 2003. While at the college, Occéan was twice named an NCAA All-American. He finished his career with 57 goals, including 21 as a senior, and 22 in 2001. Gavin Murray MacLeod (born 8 August 1983) is a Scottish football manager who currently lives in Cincinnati, Ohio and is the assistant coach and director of player performance for the University of Cincinnati women’s soccer team, as part of the American Athletic Conference. Russell Hutchison (born July 6, 1978) is a defender who played for American USL First Division side Virginia Beach Mariners from 2002 until their demise in 2006. Goran Hunjak (born 13 November 1965 in Yugoslavia) is a retired football player. Matheau "Matt" "Dupe" Hall (born July 27, 1987) is an American retired soccer player. Career Hall played college soccer at Tyler Junior College between 2005 and 2006, before transferring to Grand Canyon University for the 2007 and 2008 seasons. During his college career Hall had stints with several USL PDL and National Premier Soccer League teams in the United States and Canada.
