Vere Wynne-Jones
Vere Wynne-Jones (29 June 1950 – 23 July 2006) was one of Ireland's best-known broadcasters, as a journalist and commentator on both RTÉ radio and television and also on Dublin radio station Q 102. Wynne-Jones was originally a teacher, then a broadcast journalist, sports commentator, and latterly a public relations advisor and public relations educator. He also had a number of cameo roles in ''The Dens Christmas Specials. He was the son of a Church of Ireland clergyman, Reverend Martin Jones. Through his mother he was related to the de Veres of Curraghchase. Wynne-Jones was educated at Villiers Secondary School, Limerick, and later at Trinity College Dublin, where he studied economics and politics. His teaching career brought him to Newpark Comprehensive School, Blackrock, County Dublin and he played an important role in the conceptual design of the Transition Year programme. RTÉ
(RTÉ) (; Irish language, Irish for "Radio & Television of Ireland") is the Public broadcaster, national broadcaster of Republic of Ireland, Ireland headquartered in Dublin. It both produces and broadcasts programmes on RTÉ Television, television, RTÉ Radio, radio and RTÉ.ie, online. The radio service began on 1 January 1926, while regular television broadcasts began on 31 December 1961, making it one of the oldest continuously operating public service broadcasters in the world. Liver cancer (also known as hepatic cancer, primary hepatic cancer, or primary hepatic malignancy) is cancer that starts in the liver. Liver cancer can be primary (starts in liver) or secondary (meaning cancer which has spread from elsewhere to the liver, known as liver metastasis). Liver metastasis is more common than that which starts in the liver. Liver cancer is increasing globally.
