Verbandsliga Berlin
The Berlin-Liga (VI), formerly the Verbandsliga Berlin, is the highest league for football teams exclusively in the German capital. Since German reunification in 1990, it has been the highest level of domestic football in the city, replacing the Amateur-Oberliga Berlin in this position. After the 2007–08 season the Verbandsliga was renamed Berlin-Liga. It is the sixth tier of the German football league system. Until the introduction of the 3. Liga in 2008 it was the fifth tier of the league system; until the introduction of the Regionalligen in 1994 the fourth tier. Overview The Berlin-Liga was formed in 1992 as the Verbandsliga Berlin from sixteen clubs in West and East Berlin. It was the first time since 1950, when the East Berlin sides left the Oberliga Berlin to play in the East German football league system, that clubs from both halves of the city played in the same Berlin-wide league. Brandenburg-Liga
The Brandenburg-Liga (VI) (''formerly the Verbandsliga Brandenburg'') is the highest league for football teams exclusively in the German state of Brandenburg and at step six of the German football league system. Until the introduction of the 3. Liga in 2008 it was the fifth tier of the league system, until the introduction of the Regionalligas in 1994 the fourth tier. The champions of the Brandenburg-Liga are directly promoted to the NOFV-Oberliga Nord. If the champion is from the southern part of the state, it enters the Oberliga Süd. SC Staaken () is a German sports club in Staaken, Berlin Germany. The club was founded in 1919. History The club was founded on 12 July 1919. During this time, Hans Berndt played for the club as a youth player. In 1937, the club merged with MTV 1906 Staaken and formed TSV Staaken 1906. The club then merged again in 1942 with BSG Klüssendorf and formed KSG Staaken/Klüssendorf until the end of World War II. Wacker 04 Berlin was a Football in Germany, German football club based in Berlin. The club folded in 1994 after becoming insolvent. ''Wacker'' played at the highest level in Berlin for many years throughout its history, in the Oberliga Berlin-Brandenburg, the Gauliga Berlin-Brandenburg from 1933 onwards and, finally, the Oberliga Berlin (1945–63), Oberliga Berlin. BFC Preussen is a German football club from Berlin. The team is part of a sports club which also has departments for handball, volleyball, athletics, gymnastics, and ice hockey. ''Preussen'' was one of the founding clubs of the German Football Association in Leipzig in 1900. History The club was formed as ''BFC Friedrich Wilhelm'' on 1 May 1894 by a number of players who had left ''Hevellia Berlin''.
