Vendetta (Mic Geronimo Album)
''Vendetta'' is the second album by rapper Mic Geronimo, released on November 4, 1997 through TVT Records. The album featured production from a wide range of hip hop producers including legends like Marley Marl and Pete Rock. It was an improvement on the ''Billboard'' charts over his previous album, peaking at number 112 on the ''Billboard'' 200 and number 20 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. The album also featured his only ''Billboard'' Hot 100 hit, " Nothin' Move But the Money", which managed to find minor-success and peaked at number 70 on the chart. The album is now out of print. There is a version of "Usual Suspects" which features Hussein Fatal in place of Tragedy Khadafi and The Lox. It is uncertain which version of the song is the original. Critical reception AllMusic's Leo Stanley was critical of the Puff Daddy-produced "Nothin' Move But the Money" but gave praise to the "R&B-flavored productions" throughout the album and Geronimo's rhyming abilities that make ''V ... Mic Geronimo
Michael Craig McDermon (born September 14, 1973, in Queens, New York), better known by his stage name Mic Geronimo, is an American rapper who was acquainted with Irv Gotti of Murder Inc. Gotti and his brother met Mic Geronimo at a Queens high school talent show, and Mic agreed to record a single ("Shit's Real"), which became a classic underground hit. Mic Geronimo landed a deal with Blunt/TVT Records and debuted with the 1995 LP ''The Natural''. His song "Wherever You Are" was sampled by Moby for the track "Jam for the Ladies" in 2002. The 1997 album ''Vendetta'' saw him with a higher profile, working with Jay-Z, Ja Rule, DMX, the LOX and Puff Daddy on the single "Nothin' Move but the Money", the video for which featured porn star Heather Hunter. Bruce Edward Washington Jr. (April 3, 1973July 10, 2015), better known by his stage name Hussein Fatal or sometimes as Fatal Hussein, was an American rapper, best known for his collaborative work with Tupac Shakur as a member of the rap group Outlaw Immortalz or just Outlawz. Early life Fatal was born Bruce Edward Washington Jr. on April 3, 1973. Career Washington first appeared as "Hussein Fatal" in February 1996 on the songs "All Bout U" and "When We Ride" from Shakur's album ''All Eyez on Me''. As a member of the Outlaw Immortalz, his name was chosen to evoke a villain, Iraqi president Saddam Hussein. In June 1996, he was featured on Shakur's song "Hit 'Em Up", insulting Shakur's rivals in the song's second verse.
