Velvina, Aetolia-Acarnania
Velvina ( el, Βελβίνα) is a village and a community in the municipal unit of Nafpaktos in Nafpaktia, Aetolia-Acarnania, Greece. According to the 2011 census, it had 57 inhabitants. The village is about 9 km west of Nafpaktos. Aetolia-Acarnania ( el, Αιτωλοακαρνανία, ''Aitoloakarnanía'', ) is one of the regional units of Greece. It is part of the geographic region of Central Greece and the administrative region of West Greece. A combination of the historical regions of Aetolia and Acarnania, it is the country's largest regional unit. Nafpaktia ( el, Ναυπακτία), Latinized Naupactia, is the historical name for the region around the port town of Nafpaktos (Naupactus) in Central Greece. It is also the name of a municipality in the Aetolia-Acarnania regional unit, West Greece region, Greece. The seat of the municipality is the town Nafpaktos. Nafpaktos
Nafpaktos ( el, Ναύπακτος) is a town and a former municipality in Aetolia-Acarnania, West Greece, situated on a bay on the north coast of the Gulf of Corinth, west of the mouth of the river Mornos. It is named for Naupaktos (, Latinized ''Naupactus''), an important Athenian naval station in the Peloponnesian war. As a strategically crucial possession controlling access to the Gulf of Corinth, Naupaktos changed hands many times during the Crusades and the Ottoman–Venetian Wars. Klokova
Klokova ( el, Κλόκοβα, also known as ''Paliovouna'' (Παλιοβούνα)) is a mountain in the southeast of Aetolia-Acarnania, in western Greece. In classical antiquity, the mountain was known as ''Taphiassus'' (Ταφιασσός). Its highest point is 1,039 m. Geography The mountain is located nearly 6 km west of Antirrio and sits on the northeast shore of the Gulf of Patras. A nearby mountain range is Arakynthos to the northwest, separated from Klokova by the river Evinos. The National Road 5 runs along the southern foot of the mountain. Molykreio ( el, Μολύκρειο) is a village and a community in Nafpaktia, Aetolia-Acarnania, Greece. According to the 2011 census, the village had 186 inhabitants and the community, which also includes the villages Ano Platanitis, Fragkaiika and Platanitis, 959.
